No.

What really matters is what has been built around those films.

If that was the case then noone would have batted an eye at the last six movies. As good as it was noone cares about Clone Wars or any comics as much as they care about the movies.

Depending on how this goes, the 5th dimensional power might be used as fuel to reignite the entire DC continuity to 'all is canon'. Though I doubt that's Luthor's plan -- the end result might get us there. And Manhattan's remaining energy will be used to "connect" it all.

Essentially, imagination/story [5th D] + connective story [Manhattan] = everything is connected/one large story.

---

Yeah, Snyder is just....jesus. I'll give him the benefit of a doubt and say that's simply that version of events from the Dark Multiverse.

Also, good to see the out of all that massive gathering, heroes still think Superman is the most powerful of them all, lol.

Great point. 👆

The 5th dimension = the sum total of story/imagination in DC(and thanks to Mxy, we know that power is non-linear, and extends throughout the entirety of DC's history.)

Manhattan = the power to connect history together.

So in theory, 5D power + Manhattan's power = the ability to unite ALL stories/histories in DC. mmm

It should, but what's probably closer to happening is ... Luthor has a BatMxy in that box or some other idiocy. Snyder generally has all the right toys to make it a good story, but it ends up absolutely horrendous.

because the gun had nothing to do with Batman being displaced in time in the first place -- like you said, Darkseid used the Omega Sanction/Ancestor Box to do that. The gun was only used by Batman to shoot DS with the radion bullet.

We all remember that, Galan.

We're not carvers/snyders.

Yeah, that makes the most sense... confusing and unnecessary, but makes more sense than retconning one of the most epic and constantly reposted scenes for no reason.

"Bat blocker" lmao

Yeah, it will be another Snyder botch-job for sure. Well probably get #MetalfiedImps, with scroungy hair playing guitars and shit. 😬

I also have to wonder how powerful the 5th dimension even is right now, given that the Source Wall is still broken(which was already gimping Mxy back in the 6-D arc)...

wow this new week dc did not disappoint

Yeah, and we've seemingly got Darkseid obtaining Epoch's Revision Mechanism as well:

So that makes:
-Perpetua actively altering the multiverse.
-BatManhattan actively trying to rewrite the multiverse.
-Luthor actively trying to rewrite the multiverse.
-Darkseid actively trying to rewrite the multiverse.
-Wonder Woman(and co.) actively trying to rewrite the multiverse.

...All at the same fuggin time, lol.

Plus Jarro, the most powerful hero of all.

Is the Revision Mechanism plot taking place at the same time as Death Metal?

Seems to be.

Perpetua's siege on the multiverse was mentioned in JLO several issues back.

sooo over multiverse shenanigans....tone it down dc

DC is doing this for idk how long, this whole "everything is at stake" and "more omnipotent than you" kinda shit looses it's impact when it's used over and over again.

DC has really backed themselves into a corner. Now basically every 'big bad' has to be AT LEAST a multiversal power for them to be considered a legitimate/credible threat to the heroes. Therefore every major event also has to be AT LEAST multiversal in scope.

Hell, even mere universal powers are easily dealt with by Batman alone these days... Just by telling said threat that he's Batman, lol:

...I miss the days where earth alone being threatened was considered a big deal.

Pretty much. Id honestly just settle for a good story instead of the dick measuring contest everytime an event comes out

Yeah I enjoy, let's say Shadowland or Civil War a lot more than the 50th omniverse threatening crisis. It's about how you write characters and situations to make an event good and not just to inlfate the scale of it.
