No one's going to defend Nazi's, but one of the reasons I prefer my Russians/Germans in manga over comics, is because they can actually be heroic, instead of just a Nazi/Commie stereotype.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is a really good example of this. A character was a super proud Nazi with heroic (And not so) qualities who loved German engineering.
Not really something you can get away with here.
