Thanks.
Soule has a knack of ignoring continuity, so hopefully he can do something good with the character.

It is really strange that we haven't seen any sort of FO bombers... Even in outside material like Resistance. mmm
Of course, given the way the FO is setup...maybe that shouldn't be shocking. I mean...they use their own Troopers as janitors and have such incompetent leadership...

👆FO also seems to have the same complex the Empire did: they emphasize massive, singular war vessels, instead of developing a flexible and better-rounded navy composed of capital ships and a large number of supporting starfighters.
On the far worse side of it though, I mean the Supremacy was just some glorified mobile factory, it didn't appear to have many cannons and the worst of it is, those cannons have limited range.
On a side note though about the Empire, I am a bit sad that they seem to conform just like all the other factions within the Current SW. Now just having 2 branches instead of 3.
But I digress. We're getting down to the wire here and this movie still appears to be such a *** show. Every new leak is just..worse and worse.
No matter how they go into this, I feel the story is compromised regardless of the ending. Based on the trailer we hear Palptaine's laugh and his face is on the poster, so let's assume he's alive and coming back.
Star Wars was originally 3 chapters that closely followed Luke, Han and Leia. It was their story. It took 3 movies to tell that story and ended on a satisfying note.
Then Lucas decided that the story of how Anakin Skywalker became the ultimate baddie of the universe was worth telling. I agree with this decision, because I don't think anyone can say that this is something they didn't want to see. Argue all you want about the execution of those films....whatever. We all know how everyone is an armchair dialogue expert and professional Hollywood screenwriter nowadays. It was a story that had a place within the context of the originals. The rise...fall, and redemption of Anakin Skywalker. It made sense. It may not have met people's expectations, but it had direction. It's about a young, innocent boy who was once a slave on a desert planet, becoming the ultimate evil.
Two movies into this new trilogy, and I don't know what it's about. No character seems to have any arc, and they are shoehorning the Emperor back into this, which ruins the ending of ROTJ because ultimately Anakin didn't bring balance of the force if Palpatine never died. (presumably)
This means Anakin needs to return in order to fulfill the prophecy of the chosen one. That makes this trilogy pointless because they could have left it alone at ROTJ since the Emperor has been dead for over 3 decades and the story had a satisfying conclusion, or they make Rey the new hero who gets rid of the Emperor once and for all........which still ruins the ending of ROTJ because it weakens Vader's sacrifice.
The Emperor, as much as we love him as a character and part of the Star Wars lore, really has no business in this movie. It's a forced move as a result of Snoke being unexpectedly killed in the last film because this trilogy had no planned direction. Everyone knows this, not just me because I'm typing it.
Do I think they could have continued past ROTJ? Absolutely. The idea of Luke training Jedi who turned against him and started their own cult "Knights of Ren" with their leader being none other than Leia's and Han's son....I dig it. That should have been the focus of this trilogy. Rey could have worked, but not as the protagonist. The Last Jedi even admitted as much...."You have no place in this story...you're nothing."
Just figurines, but it's another [canon] look at the Knights of Ren and their weaponry:

Um...why?
No one wants to buy those toys - it's no secret that they're just sitting on shelves collecting dust and Disney is facing a financial-crises regarding them.
The knights of ren are pathetic dark jedi-wannabes and thankfully, real Star Wars fans aren't going to waste their money by seeing that movie.
You aren't going to waste your money on it, are you?

All we have to do is deny them our money - and they will sell the franchise to another company and then we'll get the real Sequels.
