The guy who wrote Splinter of the Mind's Eye and the TFA novelization wrote an Episode IX treatment before any of the story or trailers were announced. It's the kind of fanfic tripe that would have made Rise of Skywalker a true masterpiece:

I was initially disappointed in it, then I forced myself to like it after 3 viewings. But that didnt last. Cant forgive it for shitting on Luke. And this one makes Luke in TLJ seem even more of an ass.

Saw the whole trilogy in a row and as individual films, TFA is by far the best of the 3. And you know the issues I have with TFA.

But hey, you might like it. So yeah dont listen to me 👆

They were all pre-booked. Same with Force Awakens.

Learned my lesson this time. Booked once and got it over with on the first viewing. Glad im not wasting my weekend watching this multiple times.

There are Snoke clones in the vats when Kylo first meets Sheev. But it's never mentioned if those clones are off Palaptine himself.

I couldnt remember if there was 1 or more. So I assumed it was the original. Because IIRC

Also wouldnt that be a complete retcon of what we learn in the TFA novel.
