I guess will have to read the novelisation even though turns out those are pretty worthless.

Nah DE Palps is still superior.

Not in direct combat tbh. Those force storms took time to conjure up and cant just be thrown at the guy standing in front of you as far as im aware.

So one last question:

Does it explain HOW Palpatine became so powerful?

How would any Star Wars fans familiar with the material from the Prequels not know how Palpatine became so powerful?

During Operation Knightfall, Palpatine downloaded the contents of the Jedi Archives and recovered its collection of Jedi and Sith holocrons.

This is obviously why Palpatine was so much more powerful in RotJ, DE and the Disney Trilogy.

Damnit I hate this editing stuff.

But DT, he doesn’t need to throw his most powerful attack out to show that he’s better.

My point is

Spoiler:
Lightning is just an easy power to dish out whether at armies, fleets, or the single opponent standing right in front of you.

Although tbf DE Palps was difficult to kill with his instant transference to clone bodies.

I mean sure, but given the fact of DEs power, I’m sure he could replicate it. As you said it’s an easy power just on a bigger scale.

Regardless though this is derailing the thread.

....Can’t believe this is what we have now for SW. Really hope there’s no more movies after all this. 9 is far too many as is.

20 movies would be great - if they were made by Lucas or a company that isn’t Disney.

And if we don’t get too many drooling imbeciles giving their money to “Baby Yoda” (Kathleen Kennedy) then Disney won’t be able to make any new garbage Star Wars movies.

But there seem to be plenty of brainless-lemmings that are chasing the carrot on a stick that is Kathleen Kennedy’s The Mandalorian, so who knows.

Disney will be mass-producing Baby Yoda merch soon that will be marketed mainly at children and adults with the minds of children.

I'm not sure I'd even want more movies, Disney or not. I dunno, I feel like 6 was enough, but maybe that's just because it was like that for so long and all the rest of the stuff was just going on with books, games, comics and the like.

Doubtful given Canon Palpatine

channels the power of all previous Sith.

Who are?....Plus why does it mean he can't? Just because that version has to, doesn't mean another would also.

But still let's move away from this.

Unsure what youre saying here. But my point stands that DE Sidious might be

Spoiler:
rivalled or perhaps even outmatched by his canon counterpart.

And I get this isnt a versus forum, but surely thats worth mentioning. I mean Ill take any positives I can from this film.

Spoiler:
Sidious and Rey going Avatar state may be the stupidest thing in these movies yet.
Who the hell thought this was a good idea? ****ing christ.

I really just hope the novelization provides more backstory here.

Palpatine randomly being able to

Spoiler:
operate on such a level with no apparent explanation provided is phucking dumb. I know it's just one of MANY stupid things in this film, but it's something I was still hoping would be explained to SOME extent.

Im sure it will. The novels and comics usually have to fill in the back stories not given in the films. Only issue is the next film will just ignore those explanations. Look at

Spoiler:
Snoke

Yeah was laughable.

Not to mention inconsistent. Just look at the immediate previous film where

Spoiler:
where Luke implies its unrealistic for a single Jedi to go take on a fleet

Well that's just because Luke is useless. He fails at everything he tries and is the weakest force user in this "trilogy". He loses to Rey, loses to Kylo, loses to

Spoiler:
Leia.

**** this shit.

Disney Palpatine isn’t Canon.

The story of the OT and PT hinges on The Prophecy Of The Chosen One - where Anakin destroys the Sith and sets the Force into balance.

Rey’s

Spoiler:
killing of Palpatine
is a departure from Canon and has rendered the Disney Star Wars storyline Non-Canon as a result.

Disney Palpatine is not Canon.

There's a

Spoiler:
brief flashback that shows Leia and Luke training post-ROTJ, and she knocks him on his ass. She stops training because she has a vision of Ben's fate and iirc how it ties in to her Jedi-ness.
