Sanders supporters don't do the "God wills him to be President", at least not that I've seen thus far. That seems something largely cornered by the Cult of Trump and their love of saying Trump was divinely chosen.

They don't need to do the "god wills him" type shit for it to be a cult.

You said "religion", why I went there. But if you want to call Bernie supporters "cultist", I don't really care. It honestly just looks like you're tying to equalize Trumper's lunatic cult behavior now that Sanders could be a a potential huge player in 2019.

It's like a religion bro.

I also don't need to try to equalize anything lol, leftist cultists lunatic behavior far outweighs anything Trumpers do. This will not be debated.

Legit mentioned black magic along with it, figured it was a giveaway.

Sorry, man. It's hard to read tone through text. Thought you were joining Camp Young & Shiny there.

You keep bringing up how long people live until and constantly blow past the fact that as you age you have diminished capacities. How long someone lives isn't the story of how effective they are at those ages. If someone comes along in the campaign that is maybe 75% Bernie politics but significantly younger they will probably get the votes.

It's a biological fact, you have less stamina, less focus, less everything except wisdom. Trying to sell age as a nonfactor because a vp can step up to the plate is a total sham because no one is voting for the vp regardless of their intentions in office.

That doesn't mean much when Bernie hasn't shown any major signs of mental deterioration. He's still sharp and capable, so it's a weak argument to use his age against him until he does.

Even if the majority of voters don't give a **** about the vice president, it's still an important office as a contingency should something happen to the president. There's a chain of command, that's how our system is set up, and that's why it's important to pick a running mate with similar values and policies.

YouTube video

If you don't want to watch, this Trumper claims that Turmp is God's chosen one and if you go against Trump, you against God and God will curse you, your children, your grandchildren etc. 'Like a religion", indeed.

Conservatives are very big on who the VP is, actually. It was a major selling point when Bush Jr picked Cheney and it was a major selling point when Trump picked Pence.

iirc, Reagan picking Bush Sr was another major selling point.

I don't think it's wise for the right to laugh off Bernie.

I think he's a serious threat. Unlike Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, Michael Avenatti and Cory Booker, the dude is actually capable of generating a cult of personality and coming across as sincere rather than making everyone cringe on the inside at obvious unlikeability and virtue signalling.

Additionally, He's one of the few candidates on the left who doesn't treat working class white people with utter contempt.

I do see his age as a problem it's just how life works, I don't see him as a threat though. It would have been better for bernie to have won the primaries over hillary in 2016 imo.

Yeah, he's totally there and after that last interview he probably took a 30 minute nap afterwards😉

Could it be because those specific presidential candidates were inexperienced and/or a bit on the stupid side, and needed someone more qualified to keep them in line, if not replace them altogether?

Ideas are foremost for me, whether voting democrat or republican, and Bernie's ideas are not the best.

Maybe he did. Maybe he was up all night preparing his statements, or celebrating with a Cialis-fueled orgy. Point is, these would all be baseless assumptions of ours.

...too old. Whatever appeal he had last time is lost since he won't be the only socialist running this time. He probably wouldve beat Hillary it he wasn't so old, white and male in the first place. RIP Bernie

He lost because he was conspired against in the primaries by Clinton and the DNC, not because he was too old, or too white, or because he's a man. His popularity now and then goes to show that he has enough support to be a solid contender in the presidential race.

He would have lost either way. He won't be the nominee... How much would you like to bet? (Real offer)

I'd suggest an avatar bet, but you don't post enough to make it worth it.

Yeah that was a dumb thought on my part. I have a bad gambling habit.

But yeah I'm not against Sanders I just don't see the Dems nominating an old white guy at this point.

He raised 6 million in a day. Bernie tweeted and tore into trump. Awesome.

Don't know if that sentiment holds water when you look at McCain/Palin. McCain was many times more intelligent than that dingbat. Though exceptions to the rule do often exist in most things.

Palin was chosen for two reason, being a woman and being attractive. She offered nothing else to McCain's presidency as we saw whenever she opened her mouth and commented on something.

Primaries are run by states, not parties. It is not a conspiracy that more Democrats voted for Clinton than Sanders. The only superdelegates whom changed their vote, did so in support of Sanders, and he still did not win.
