If I may offer an alternative view, less malicious, perhaps people see you disagree on some aspects that are very important to them and view that as being on the other team. Or, seeing as Democrat is higher than Republican in your test results, and many people viewing only those two parties realistically viable, they may see your advocacy for third party as supporting Republicans, when you could be a Democratic voter.

I'm a leftist being called a Trumper, Nazi, etc. because I don't buy into many leftists who spew anti-science, anti-fact, bullshit. When I call them out on it, instead of acknowledging the facts and science, they address their cognitive dissonance by using name calling (ad hominems) to help them feel better. "Oh, he's just a Trumper. That's why he doesn't buy into this bad thing the media has been saying about Trump today. I don't have to read the actual transcript or watch the video of what Trump really said."
It is a minority of leftists doing this toxic behavior. Not a majority.
After knowing this, does your response change? Do you have a different write-up (not for me, the others because I don't need advice or a write-up on the toxic behavior of leftists: the leftists need a write-up on their toxic behavior).

I think we may be talking about similar things, I do think people do not want to engage with others as they see them on the other team, or like you said "he's just a Trumper" or calling some people that aren't fascists "nazis". What I am saying is that I don't think it is a "tactic" so much as it is a reaction from a genuine place of different point of view. I don't know your experience, perhaps there are people that try to dehumanize you to disregard you, but I think a lot of the defacto dehumanization that "leftists" do to some people (and that right wingers as well do to a different set of people) is not necessarily a political tactic to grab power for the vast majority that partake in it.
To be more concrete though, do you truly believe there are posters on this site that want to actively dehumanize you?
