Democrats Hold Secret Edge If Election Is Too Close to Call

Twenty years ago, as Democrat Al Gore and Republican George W. Bush battled for weeks over who’d won the U.S. presidential election, Florida’s Republican secretary of state, Katherine Harris, helped hand the White House to Bush by declaring an end to recounts that showed him clinging to the slimmest of leads.

If the outcome of November’s election comes down to fights over counting mail-in ballots and claims of fraud by President Donald Trump, Democrat Joe Biden may have a quiet advantage: the top election officials in many of the key states that could decide the election are Democrats.

In Michigan and Pennsylvania -- two Democratic-leaning states Trump won in 2016 -- the top elections officials belong to Biden’s party. That’s also true in Arizona, which Trump carried but Biden is now leading in the polls, and Minnesota, which the president has targeted as a potential pickup. -snip

Interesting.

😆

And the week after the RNC concludes, Trump swiftly closed the gap between Biden.

The new national telephone and online survey finds Biden with 48% support among Likely U.S. Voters to Trump’s 46%. Four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate, while three percent (3%) remain undecided.

The race is now a 2 point race.

It should be noted that this is the first time Trump has polled above 45% in that poll since they started tracking it.

And they have another piece of research that tells us who the silent Trumpers are:

About 17% of the electorate.

They found that 17% of potential voters don't want to tell anyone that they are going to vote for Trump. There's your Bradley Effect.

21% of unaffiliated voters are silent on who they will vote for: a bigger margin than in 2016. It's kind of obvious who these 21% will vote for.

While mail in ballots get lost because Democrats are too stupid to think for themselves, Republicans and un-affiliated Trump supporters will show up to the polls.

Fact Check all true. Represented as gaslighting by DDM? Verdict partially.

DDM fails to note the gap in key swing states like Ohio and Wisconsin.

There's also the fact that Biden is either tied or ahead in states like Texas and Arizona, where Trump should be killing it. (edit: seems Biden is still ahead in both here)

Granted, I won't believe that Texas will go Blue until I see it, but the data is the data.

Yup, it's DDM. What can I say he has his agenda. Although Voltron seems a little the worse for wear at the moment. All the best to them anyway.

This is projection on a level that has to qualify for a psychiatric disorder.

I checked: Biden's still leading in both Texas and Arizona, not by a huge number, but ahead, where Trump should be ahead, way ahead like he was in 2016.

In 2016 Trump had AZ by +4 and TX by +11 averages.

Not just Texas and Arizona, Florida too.
