The point that brought up the whole Democracy vs Republic part was a reply to me talking about the EC and preferring popular vote for president.

Makes sense. I never once talked about the electoral college and only responded to XYZ's terribly view about pure democracy being amazing.

Not all founding fathers agreed with Jefferson though 😬

I feel like I've covered this, specifically, with you, 3 different times, now. Maybe I'm mistaken. But Jefferson admitted his hypocrisy with slavery. And it has since been rectified (a long time ago). It's not relevant and hasn't been for over 150 years. And it was a direct affront to Natural Rights for those southern representatives/leaders objecting to abolition. Which was also heavily debated. So much so it almost prevented the country (USA) from being formed and stabilizing. And it still didn't go away and led to a war, 80 years later.

And naturally as the world social structure changes what is needed to meet people's natural rights or give them a livable standard will also change.

And this concept is within Lockean Natural Rights, as well. Such as access to fair internet, electricity, clean water, etc.

Who knows, in the future, Natural Rights will expand to to "Virtual Therapy Worlds" where these VTWs are essential to keep you sane during the Virtual Age (the technology age after the Post-Information-Age, which we are in, now).

Edit - Oh, hey...what do you think about Rank Choice Voting? Ireland does it. So there's at least one "good freedom loving" country doing it.

Dooooooooood mon, what was your response again?

Biden gets trips! 😂

Oh boy, polls saying the democratic candidate will win. Why does this feel so familiar?

Tbf, they were all in the margin of error with the exception of Wisconsin and Hillary did win the popular vote.

Yup!

1988, Trump campaigned to be Bush's VP and lost Dan Quayle.....
2000, Trump formed the reform party and apparently didn't notice David Duke was a part of it.
2014~ Trump demanded Obama's birth certificate, despite already being released.
2016, Trump insults the Bush family (which I still think was a good idea, but who didn't?)
2017, Trump becomes first president to not release tax returns
2020, Trump insults the military

nvm

I want to bang Kayleigh McEnany.

Biden Platform Would Raise Taxes By $3.4 Trillion, Study Says

So I was just looking at the National polls in real clear politics and was curious as to how they compare to the polls from 2016. One thing immediately stood out to me. While Clinton was ahead in most of those polls she had very few that places her at or near 50%. Most of the polls had her in the mid or low 40’s and trump a little bit lower than that. Where as there are a lot of polls this year with Biden in the high 40’s or into the 50’s. Seems there are far fewer undecideds this year.

Yup, I read something in the paper which said almost exactly that. It was about can polls be trusted this time and it picked up on exactly what you did.

So just to be clear, *this* time the polls that say he loses can be trusted? Is this the narrative u guys wanna push?

Type it out. "The polls got it right this year". Who wants to say it first?

Polls should always be treated with a bit of skepticism. But another thing they show is Biden’s lead is quite a bit larger than Clinton’s was.

So are you saying that makes these polls more accurate or what?

Why should they be, out of curiosity?

I can’t speak to their accuracy. We will see how accurate these are in November. But it does suggest that there were a lot of undecideds in 2016. This year there don’t seem to be.

Okay but why would that make the poll more accurate.

Surely you realize there will be tons of silent trump voters.
