You're revealing too much about yourself. Some of the people on this site are genuinely terrible people. I wouldn't talk too much about this in the open.
Regardless, showing up to an interview while under the influence is NOT okay. You're more than smart enough to know this, as well. Is this self-sabotage? Don't do this kind of crap.
Also, take advantage of your NHS benefits. Go to a therapist to help with some of your issues. Make a concerted effort to participate in some of the therapy they offer.
Be better, do better. Don't waste your brains and life away on substance addictions. If you lived closer, I would force you to work out with me each day. Working out is a great obsession you can use to help with anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
You've done much better this last year or so with no lashing out at others with hate and vitriol. You're changing and becoming a better person. I think your alcohol abuse is within reach to get rid of. One of your last major obstacles you need to overcome to become the next level of a great man.
