It was a headbutt, not a punch.
Thanos didn't break his face.
But most importantly, Thanos only managed to slightly jar Thor with the same headbutt. It wasn't that powerful.Character's don't power scale off characters highest showings, they power scale off average power levels. For example, if Hulk is a 100 tonner, on average, then Thanos is around 110-150 tons (Thanos just barely overpowered Hulk in a test of strength grapple).
Here's a strength feat for you. Shazam casually finger flicked a steel garbage can about 50ft towards a wall with such a force that the wall crushed it. Considering that this feat takes tons of force to achieve and Shazam was using a tiny fraction of his power then we cannot be sure of your assertion.
Lol Thanos, CM and Hulks Feats are all >>>>>> Shazams.
Until Shazam gets better strength feats, hes completely out of his league here.

I'd have to see Shazam go against Vibranium to be able to make that call.
So at this point, since we know he doesnt have the fts comparable to breaking Vibranium and he hasn't shown anything close to what vibranium has withstood, we cant just say he have the strength to break it, right? It's like saying "since we haven't seen the results of Hulk punching a planet to dust in the movie, we dont know if he cant do it. Let's not debate like this. We go by showings and based off SHOWINGS, Shazam isnt strong enough to break vibranium.

What's more impressive, lifting 500 tons with all one's strength or lifting 10 tons with a tiny portion (less than 1/100) of one's strength?
Prove that any of those characters can casually finger flick a steel garbage can 50 feet away, with a TINY FRACTION of their strength, causing the wall to crush the can significantly.

A garbage can? Lol
We can only go by too strength feats, because its impossible to quantify how much of their strength they are putting in.
That said, Hulks Leviathan lunch seemed pretty easily done to me. Im sure you disagree, but that’s the the problem. Effort is impossible to quantify.
