Because in reality I likely couldn't pick the scenario specifics where I'd be getting attacked and generally speaking a gun is more dangerous than a knife.
Generally speaking, a knife is more dangerous than a gun in a one on one scenario in less than 21 feet which is where most confrontations begin.
Unless you're in a drive-by-shooting-prone neighborhood, knife wielders are going to be a larger physical threat to you. Unarmed threats are a far larger violent threat to you, however, according to the assault data. So you may want to be far more afraid of fists than guns or knives.
You put guns on too high of a pedestal.
If you ever go to London, look out for the knife crime because it's getting worse:

Sure thing, buddy. IIRC it's like that in *only* 80% of the situations. In other 20% it's often that the aggressor:
1. misses,
2. gets distracted,
3. is just insanely slow,
4. is in a situation more complicated than 1v1.
I'll cite your claims for Silent Master because it seems like an easy thing to check:
1. Miss percentage of shooters? It's far more than 80%. Police miss their targets ~30% of the time and most police are professionally trained. 18%-37% accurate.
2. No idea how to cite this. This is impossible to cite. Bring up a specific case, maybe?
3. This is accurate. As I've posted, people are slow on the draw with their guns. Police are taught the "21 foot" rule about people with knives. If the knife-wielder is within 21 feet, you won't be able to draw your gun fast enough unless you're a gun-kata expert (not even joking...I posted a video on this). Gun wielders are almost always insanely slow on the draw in a quick-attack situation. Was that your point?
4. Almost all police encounters involve one suspect or criminal. I can find no data on this to support or deny it.
So only 2 out of 4 of these are cite-able. But #4 should be obvious that almost all police encounters do not involve multiple violent suspects.

If that's how often cops miss I can only imagine what the percentage is for your average gang banger. Especially if they are drunk/high at the time. I remember recently one cop from the CPD giving an interview talking about how in a recent shooting the guy was doing the cliche "gangster holding the gun sideways while shooting" thing lol.
