Same, because his handling of the Apes prequels was so cool. I particularly love Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. I still think that's an instant classic.

I've been meaning to watch Cronenberg's Cosmopolis with Pattinson. Maybe now I will have the motivation to do so.

Hopefully Kristen Stewart will be cast as Catwoman alongside Battinson. 👆

I hope this isn't it for the villains. They should be going the Spider-Man approach and using villains that haven't been on the big screen before. In this case Deathstroke who was planned, at least before the original Affleck version of the film went into development hell. If not him, maybe someone like Black Mask or something (then again, he's gonna be in Birds of Prey apparently).

Seriously Catwoman again if that is true?...i'm okay with seeing Penguin as he's only been done once on screen. See if they can beat Danny Devito's performance

I don't mind seeing Catwoman and Penguin again, as long as they're reasonably different from what we've gotten in the past.

At least it's not the Joker yet again.

I'd much prefer villains that Bats can actually have a decent H2H fight with.

Sure he'll scrap with Catwoman but ultimately it won't be serious.

And Penguin will prob be all gadgets & henchmen...

I juz hope they don't bog the story down with "Origin Stories" for each villain like the pre-Nolan movies.

👆 That's why I was excited for Deathstroke, a villain who gives a good H2H fight. You won't get that with Penguin or Catwoman.

That's what kung-fu henchmen are for. I mean, I wouldn't say no to a more martial-artsy villain, but you can generally do more with someone like the Penguin than you can with Deathstroke. If they'd used Ra's on the other hand, that would be different.

Joauin Phoenix saved us from that, I think.

Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind seeing Ra's redone and in fact might be the one I'd like to see redone the most, despite how good he was in Begins. And yeah, probably.

Meh. I've been over Batman for awhile. Which villains are used is the main thing that determines how invested I'd be in a film of his at this point. I don't even care about the re-cast for him; plenty other heroes/characters that interest me more, whether from DC or Marvel.

Whatever happened to using Deathstroke?....we see him at the end of Justice League and that was it for that.
