As far as this woman, I said I know very little about her aside the topical and I do question how disabled she actually is or if it's just a stunt. She seemed pretty capable when committing property damage to further make a name for herself online.

Not that I'm dissing you for having that opinion, you're entitled to it, and to some extent (at least in spirit) I agree with that stance (I've noted my own occasional conservative opinion) — that if you can possibly work, you should, etc. I'm just saying that by UK standards, that's a Tory / UKIP-type mindset, but judging from you, Whirly, Bash, etc., it's a common 'left-wing' opinion amongst Americans (or is Whirly British? I know he lived here at some point — either way, his thought comes across more American-centric). I just find it odd, those cultural differences.
Plus, I'm usually against a lot of socialist thought, and you seem to be in favour of it — but in this case, I favour a more socialist approach to disability: that it should be about quality of life. I mean, we have the NHS here (for now), and I'm a big advocate of that, etc., and this kind of thing falls into that category for me.
