Source/Presence are not one and the same. Its a assumption your making here and never been really shown source is connected to presence, until perpetua storyline "possible"
Also source has had some bad showing really and seems to fluctuate power levels/standing in cosmics and hierarchy with different storylines.

Presence is shown outright creator of DCU in Lucifer that mentions the events of Metal. Dreaming is also continuing the same plot thread that a book is missing from Dream's library.
