It should be the Tarnished's Furled Finger. I dunno if it costs anything to use, but it doesn't take long for 1000 to not count as much at all.
Originally posted by AstnerThanks. I found the item and ingredients to make the Tarnished's Furled Finger. It's easy.
Same thing with the invasion fingers. Bought five from a vendor, and got five from the sketchy dude from the beginning. Also everyone I invade seem to be playing co-op, and if that wasn't enough they summon in a third guy. Well you get Rune Arcs for killing hosts, not sure what those do yet.
Does anyone know the location of the Ashes of War jump attack?
This game is expansive. I love the free roaming. That's one of the things which makes DS1 my favorite of the Souls series.

Anyone playing a caster? I've never tried doing so and am tempted to reroll a new character and play Astrologer.
As for the PvE only the starting spell (Glintstone Pebble) is viable, it's the most damage you'll per FP. And sometimes the boss will have a pixel left and you're out of FP and Cerulean flasks. This happened when I fought the first Glintstone Dragon, and so I had to finish it off with throwing weapons. To be fair it does trivialize a lot of bosses, especially when you get your summons out.

Looks like I'm getting Flask-charged after killing a few enemies after the recent update.

Originally posted by AstnerI wasn't sure if there was a special attack that could be obtained.
My idea was to go int/faith then I saw the stat requirements on some of the spell and decided to just level int instead. I'll probably re-roll after I've finished, since Carian Phalanx seems to be the only viable PvP spell. Even then it's not as good as Homing Soul Mass from DS3 (which cost no mana and was cast almost instantly). As for the PvE only the starting spell (Glintstone Pebble) is viable, it's the most damage you'll per FP. Are you referring to a particular jump attack? Because you can just follow up a jump with an R2.
Originally posted by StyleTimeI haven't fought Margit yet. I used a summons with Godrick and won.

I found this turtle shell shield. It has 100% physical block, high attack absorption and stamina regeneration.
Originally posted by NewGuy01I'll have to check my game. I still don't know the characters well enough to be certain.
Oh? Was it possible to fight Godrick without fighting Margit first?
Originally posted by JmanghanDS1 is my favorite Souls game. Right now I'm enjoying Elden Ring as much as I enjoyed DS1 when I first played it.
Okay so before I decide to get this, where does it stand in the echelon of Souls-like Fromsoft? (how good is it?)Is it up there with Bloodborne and Dark Souls 1, or is it more in the realm of Souls 2, or somewhere in between?

Spoiler:major dungeons. Though that's in part because I've prioritized exploration over completion; I have opened up almost all of the major areas on the
seven? eight?
Spoiler:.

Do you enjoy the caster play style though? If not, but you just want an extra ranged option, might be better to go with a Bow/Crossbow/Greatbow/Ballista.

Dark Souls 3 was my personal favorite, so I give it a high rating.

It's kind of bullshit since in Demon's Souls they let you keep the souls you get for killing Vanguard.

I'll probably end up maining a dex build, saw this video while at work, and it looks like a PvP weapon to me (reach and speed).
So I'm guessing a level 49 Vagabond with 18/10/11/16/48/9/9/7, might level it up later if the invasion mechanics don't allow for match-ups with upgraded weapons.
