...and yet there are plenty of articles like the one in link below that say the US has the best economy:https://www.worldstopmost.com/2017-2018-2019-2020/news/richest-economies-world-2016-top-10-list/
That is because what those socialist countries don't like to report is that US economy and industry bolsters those economies with its pharma and military to name two items easily.
Or how about US food exports and money given to third world countries etc.....
If the US got serious about toping those charts it could do it easily and the rest of the world would be getting a lot less 😉
Those charts also don't share that the US is by FAR the home of the largest amount of immigrants (in growth and total population) in the WORLD. So while it might have some downfalls but it is clearly successful.

^So, in other words, you actually enjoy living in America too much to move...that's what I thought. You enjoy the freedoms you have here too much and all of the good things that capitalism provides while you sit there behind your computer screen and pathetically talk shit about it.There's a word for that:
Spoiler:
HYPOCRITE
No, I just do not like the prospect of leaving behind everyone I know to start a new life over from scratch.

Whenever I see annual world rankings of the best cities in the world to live for quality of life, I see no American cities in the top twenty, or even thirty some years. When it's a ranking of best countries, America is lucky to be in the top twenty some years.
Now, I say this as a lifelong resident of Canada (which ranks high in quality of life, BTW), so judge me as just a stone thrower if you want, I'm just repeating facts.
Having to pick Capitalism vs. Socialism is like trying to provoke us into picking extremes, when what you could do is just pick the best of both systems and use them, like we do up here - we're a capitalist democracy with lots of socialist strands in our governing systems. I believe in a strong social system that provides security and health care, and I don't feel the need to keep stockpiling guns in my house because I think any moment the government is going to break down my door and drag me off.
You live in the country with tens of millions, you need a government body. It's why I don't get libertarians who think they can live with virtually no government.
Keep in mind, every big market crash in America - 1929, 1987, 2008 - a Republican government was in charge. That was rampant capitalism at it's worst.
That good and all, but when Canadian wants life alter surgeries, where do they go again?

eThneoLgrRnae seems to have trouble grasping the concept that being the most powerful country in the world doesn't equal best. For all the virtues the USA has, it still spends way too much on the military, and it's shameful to have unpaid medical bills as a leading cause of personal bankruptcy down there.
Nah, no trouble at all, dude. I know the difference. The United States has the most powerful economy in the world. That's an undeniable fact. Everyone who lives in actual reality knows this. United States is #1 followed by China. I posted a link to an article pointing it out. The article mentioned literally nothing about military power (and trust me, there were tons of more articles I could've posted from other sites pointing out the US's economic superiority). If you don't like it or refuse to check it out then not my problem. 👆
It's f***ing laughable for anyone to think a purely socialist country can compete with the free market capitalism of the United States.
Sorry, but no one has yet to show me any proof that socialism can ever hope to compete with capitalism and I think we all know no one ever will post any because it's not possible for it to happen. 👆

Yeah, if they can even get in. From what I hear, there is a long waiting period for medical procedures like that in Canada. You could end-up dying waiting around for a life-saving medical procedure.Good ole socialism lol.
Pretty sure that's bullshit.
The procedures that you have to sometimes wait for are the more trivial ones. Ones that are a matter of life and death are prioritized.

Yeah, that would make more sense for sure. Though I think many people would disagree on exactly what is considered trivial and what isn't. If by trivial, then you mean someone who isn't dying then yes, I'd certainly agree with that. But that's not to say that there aren't important medical procedures that people might need done even if there life weren't in immediate danger.
None of the scandinavian countries are truly socialist countries despite leftists (like loudmouth ignorant Joy Behar) always wanting to use them as "examples" of "successful socialism."

Just a small snippet taken from the informative article:
In response to Americans frequently referring to his country as socialist, the Prime Minister of Denmark recently remarked in a lecture...
I know that some people in the US associate the Nordic model with some sort of socialism. Therefore, I would like to make one thing clear. Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy.
