Texas could go Blue in 2020 thanks to Trump and Trumpers :0

LOL. Nah, the reason Texas is in danger of going blue is because of the recent influx of all those damn illegal aliens (which is why dems want open borders); oh, and also the fact that so many lefties from California are moving there. They wanna ruin Texas as they've ruined California with their left-wing bs policies.

It has literally zero to do with Trump. Nice try though, robbie.

Not disagreeing; but any reputable sources to back this up?

Quinnipiac polls show Trump leading Biden in Texas, deadlocked race in Ohio

President Trump leads Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden by 5 points in Texas, while the two are statistically tied in Ohio, according to a pair of Quinnipiac University polls released on Thursday.

The polls show Trump running ahead of Biden in Texas 50-45 percent. In Ohio, Biden holds a slight advantage, garnering 48 percent support to Trump’s 47 percent.

Still, the polls suggest a much tighter race in two states that Trump carried four years ago by sizable margins. -snip

Texas going Blue in 2020 is still a pretty long reach, but it's technically possible.

Would be fantastic if it happened though. Trump and Trumpers losing Texas on their watch and it's 38 electoral votes. Yummy. Yummy.

Nice way to circumvent you being wrong.

Wrong about what?

Florida, Georgia and North Carolina are also likely flips like Texas. Damn Republicans, you're losing your heartlands.

Should all that come to pass, a great song will need to be written about it.

I don't know that song.

Very good song, Glenn Campbell. One of my earliest memories is of it playing on the radio in the Kitchen in spring or summer on a Saturday afternoon as my mother made tea. That's an afternoon meal for Americans, not the drink.

Trump only got 52% in Texas in 2016, which is very low for a Republican. I still expect Trump to win it by over 5% this time but the fact that it’s at all competitive should be a huge red flag for republicans. If Texas becomes a swing state in the near future then that’s going to make things very difficult for republicans in national elections.

That Texas was going to go blue.

Blue Texas. That would be icing on the cake.

Read the title, I said "could" and the the election hasn't happened yet. Did you softboil your brain again?

I knew you were going to say that.
You always leave yourself an out.

It's literally in the title of the thread, softy.

Maybe you have a magic crystal ball, but I don't know the future, just probability and while Texas will probably stay Red in 2020, it "could" go Blue.

I'm not saying Trump is going to win in November, but if the leftists here are any indication it is clear to me if he does win the democrats will not really learn their lesson

We could see a situation in 10 years where states like Texas and Arizona are blue but Ohio and Pennsylvania become safely red.

That's a win for Blue in electoral votes.

I can magically see in 10 years Republicans wanting to get ride of the electoral college if that should happen.
