Thanos was a ****in dumb ass. His "plan" was doomed to fail right from the start. He spends years (likely decades) concocting this "plan" that anyone with half a brain would have realized would fail.
Sidious was up against dogshit compared to the forces aligned against Thanos. The rebels were a joke. MCU is the most powerful fictional universe to ever exist so just stop.
