DePape Confessed to List of Progressive Targets

The man who attacked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband early Friday posted memes and conspiracy theories on Facebook about COVID vaccines, the 2020 election, and the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol. An acquaintance said that he seemed "out of touch with reality."Last year, David DePape posted links on his Facebook page to multiple videos produced by My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell falsely alleging that the 2020 election was stolen. Other posts included transphobic images, and linked to websites claiming COVID vaccines were deadly.
"The death rates being promoted are what ever 'THEY' want to be promoted as the death rate," one post read. DePape also posted links to YouTube videos with titles like "Democrat FARCE Commission to Investigate January 6th Capitol Riot COLLAPSES in Congress!!!"
On a WordPress blog, Depape ranted about censorship by the "elites" and "ruling class." He also appears to have a website that reads "da Jews." Sixteen hours ago, he posted the headline, "Why Colleges are becoming Cults."
In another post, he wrote, "The more Ukrainians die NEEDLESSLY the cheaper the land will be for Jews to buy up." His website has posts on pedophiles, aliens, COVID, Communism, what he called "climate hysteria," and more.
Some of his posts referred to Donald Trump. "Either Q is Trump himself or Q is the deepstate moles within Trumps inner circle. So Q/Trump sabotaged their child trafficking operations. #2 self inflicted wound. Trumps covert id or a Deep state mole? Was Q refering to this? Did Q do this?" he wrote, referring to QAnon.
In a September 27th post, he said any journalists who denied Trump's false claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election "should be dragged straight out into the street and shot."
The man who battered Paul Pelosi with a hammer had a list of other targets including Hunter Biden, Tom Hanks, and California Governor Gavin Newsom, a court heard Wednesday.
San Francisco Police Sargeant Carla Hurley testified Wednesday David DePape—who had gone to the Pelosi residence with the intention of kidnapping House Speaker Nancy Pelosi—made the admissions in a post-arrest interview.
Hurley testified DePape, 42, told her his other targets included Biden, Hanks, Newsom, and Gayle Rubin—a University of Michigan professor who writes on queer theory, sex, and gender.
White Supremacist Guilty in Hate Crime Shooting
A Georgia man pleaded guilty today to a federal hate crime and a firearms violation for shooting into two Clayton County convenience stores in an attempt to kill those inside because of their race and ethnicity.
According to information presented in court, on July 30, 2021 Larry Edward Foxworth, 48 of Jonesboro, fired numerous rounds from a Glock pistol through a window and door of a Shell gas station convenience store on Tara Boulevard in Jonesboro.
Just minutes later, Foxworth again fired multiple rounds from the same handgun through the windows and door of a nearby BP gas station convenience store.
Both stores were open for business and occupied when Foxworth fired the shots. No one was injured in either shooting, but Foxworth admitted that he intended to kill people inside the stores and on the premises.
Clayton County Police Department officers arrested Foxworth shortly after the second attack. While in police custody at the scene, Foxworth made multiple statements explaining that he was targeting black people and others who he perceived to be Arab.
Foxworth expressed hope that he had killed his targets and professed belief in white supremacist ideology and an allegiance to a white supremacist organization.
"No one should have to live in fear of being targeted for deadly violence because they are black or Arab American," said Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division.
"This defendant, who professed support for a white supremacist organization, is being held accountable for an abhorrent act of violence motivated by race and national origin. This conviction should make clear that the Justice Department stands ready to prosecute any individual who carries out a violent hate-motivated crime in our country."
The plea agreement filed in court calls for a sentence of between 20 and 25 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for March 16, 2023. The FBI and Clayton County Police Department investigated the case.

Confederate Losers Observe Robert E. Lee in Opposition to MLK Day
As the country observed Martin Luther King, Jr. Day yesterday, two states observed King-Lee Day.
To counter the federal holiday, Alabama and Mississippi have chosen to commemorate Confederate General Robert E. Lee, who fought in the Civil War to keep black people enslaved, on the same day.
And they are not alone:

Both Florida and North Carolina observe the birthday of Robert E. Lee as a state holiday.

Arkansas holds a memorial day for Lee, and Virginia holds a combined memorial day for Lee and Stonewall Jackson.

Florida recognizes Confederate Memorial Day, and Texas recognizes Confederate Heroes Day.
Lewis V. Baldwin, a professor emeritus of religious studies at Vanderbilt University, and an author of several books on Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "The fact that both King and Lee are celebrated on the same day, speaks to what I call an 'ambivalent South'—a South that says one thing, and actually practices another."
Nazi Leader Charged in Plot Against Power Grid
A neo-Nazi leader recently released from prison has been arrested again and accused of plotting an attack on the Maryland power grid with a woman he met while incarcerated. Brandon Russell, 27, and Sarah Clendaniel, 34, are expected to make their first appearance Monday in Baltimore federal court on a charge of conspiring to destroy an energy facility, which carries up to 20 years in prison.
According to prosecutors, their plan was to attack with gunfire five substations that serve the Baltimore area. The charges come after similar right-wing attacks on the power grid in North Carolina and Oregon; the Department of Homeland Security recently warned that the United States is in a "heightened threat environment" and that critical infrastructure is among the "targets of potential violence."
Russell is a co-founder of the murderous neo-Nazi group, Atomwaffen Division. He was previously sentenced to five years in federal prison after being caught with bomb-making materials in his Florida apartment.
I've heard a Republican strategist say something along the lines of "People don't know how much they'll dislike DeSantis as a presidential candidate, yet." She made a reference to Jeb Bush in 2016, how he was highly spoken to be the front runner early on (as DeSantis is), until Jeb started talking and voters turned away.
I'm looking forward to the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. It should be a he a hilarious and epic shitshow, deplorables eating at each other. Best part, they did it to themselves when they so eagerly invited Trump in.
Still hoping Trump gets snubbed, then runs 3rd party so he can continue fleecing his most loyal cultist all the way to election night and beyond.
Originally posted by truejediBiden would beat Trump again in 2024, if it came down to that. But I don't think he'll get the nomination. eg Even the remaining Koch brother has pulled endorsements from Trump, he's one of many.
Even if he wins the nomination, he truly might be the only person Joe Biden could beat. Absolutely no one who voted blue in 2020 would ever vote for trump: and how much support did he lose because of insurrection? He wouldn't have a chance. I would vote for "a rock" before I would vote for trump.
Republicans will likely go with someone younger, say under 60, especially if Biden runs again, using the young vs old angle, which is smart. This younger person will not be invoking "Trump", even though Trump's the current head of the Republican party. Instead he'll roll out Reagan's corpse and use the "Republicans return to the Reagan days!" angle to shout from his soapbox.
If Biden announces he's not running, could change things up with the Republican strategy. Biden shouldn't run again though, he's way too old and not as lucid for a second term. But I'll certainly vote for Biden over Trump again.
Imagine voting for Trump after his attempt to overturn the election and then insurrection when that failed.
