The Matrix: Resurrections

Started by theronmad21 pages

Considering the announcement of the new part of the Matrix as a whole, it is certainly intriguing. The fact that the new film will be shot with the participation of the heroes from the previous trilogy is reassuring. Well, you know how it happens sometimes when rebooting films or franchises, when they do without old heroes and you feel that somewhere in the story there is a plot hole. I haven't noticed this hole in the trailer yet.

This is an extremely informative article. I didn't know most of it, because I never much followed The Matrix Online...

"Although Neo dies in The Matrix Revolutions, his avatar is said to live on in The Matrix Online, and a mad rush ensues to collect the pieces of The One's projected self, and kidnap the "Shapers" who are able to manipulate these scattered leftovers. According to The Oracle, Neo had the foresight to realize that the world would one day require his power again, so he split fragments of himself inside the Matrix that could one day be used to keep the peace he created in the Matrix movies."

But if the machines are dead, why is there a matrix at all?

Keep in mind Americans have this weird thing of wanting to be the most perverted and the most pure at the same time.

Their "official ratings" never made any sense to the rest of the world.

I'm going to see this, cos i watched the other three. But it reads like a lazy money-grab.

I was initially pretty skeptical myself. And still am somewhat...

I would like to think, though, they have a pretty good reason for resurrecting it again after all these years.

I wonder if they have another potential Trilogy in mind...

Cant be any worse than some of the other cashgrab IP resurrections we have gotten.

Yeah, The Matrix movies are tame as **** with them getting R ratings.

An "R" in America is very different than one in Australia. R is essentially the same thing as M 15+. Anyone can see an R film as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

NC-17 would be the equivalent of Australia's R 18+

Money grab is always a reason. Especially when the Wachowski's haven't had much luck outside of the Matrix franchise.

That said, Keanu is in high demand these days, so definitely not desperate for a pay cheque. So him choosing to do this is what gives me a little hope.

Of course it's a big business, but...

Regardless of how you feel about their films (even I admit that they've had a stinker or 2), they take pride in their art.

Keanu has seen the film and stated that, like the first film, it will likely reflect the world for the next 20 years...

So that's a very positive response.

I can't believe this is only about a month away... 😎

Some fun BTS on The Matrix Reloaded... 😂
