Well, what do Cap, Vision and Thor have in common, in terms of positive characteristics? Because they are the three who have been Worthy enough to lift the hammer onscreen. Granted, it's all rather vague IMO.
Vision is a strange one, but Cap and Thor were both soldiers/warriors. So there is that.
Clearly in Thor 1, Thor had to lose his arrogance and start to care more for others.
With Vision, im guessing it was related to him having the innocence of a child at that point:
“You’re hopelessly naive”
“Well, I was born yesterday”

Well, interesting thing about Vision is that while he was naive in some ways, the whole moral question about killing Ultron he posed to himself does also show a degree of value for life and doing only the minimal necessary amount of harm.

Supes is a murdering bastard, he doesn't lift the hammer
In all seriousness, Superman killed Zod to save others he didn't murder him.
He also did him a favor because he was genetically bred to be a solider and yet had trouble fighting a scientist so he was clearly defective and needed killing.

In all honesty Cap has been more worthy than even Thor since the beginning. The fact Thor(my favorite MCU character)who has shown plenty of character flaws since the beginning makes me think Superman should be able to wield it.
Superman has shown to be merciless and violent. He had also been shown to be vengeful.
DCEU Superman isn't Worthy.
