That shield saved Cap and there were only two or three outriders against Cap, not 5.

Now if Cap has a shield against say 3 bears then he easily wins. But he has NO SHIELD and is against at least 5 bears. He gets bitten or clawed.

Looking at it now though, looks more like his Howling Commandos uniform. But either way, WW2-era uniform =/= modern, Tony Stark/SHIELD-designed uniform (it's confirmed in AoU that Stark designs all the Avengers gear, but SHIELD clearly also played a role while he was in their service).

Just gonna throw this out there, it's not Cap, but it does show what people on the serum can do. Fighting scenes begin around 2:45. Notice the super speed punches around 3:20.

Wrong, Cap's superhuman durability isn't irrelevant in a fight where he's going to get hurt, saying so is the stuff of retards. He's been punched, kicked, slammed, stabbed, shot and blasted, but kept on fighting due to his superhuman durability and resilience.

eg the Chitauri rifles where blasting large holes in walls, Cap took one to the side, fell down and got right back up and kept on representing America. A similar thing happened when an Ultron bot blasted him in the gut. Why do you hate America?

The bears will not be able to harm him enough before he either kills them with a hit or two or they run away in fear after taking a metal denting punch.
