Once again the French refuse to die to stop Nazis.

And here is Tokyo, today:

And Japan's sitting at 109 deaths:

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/japan/

This supports the Epidemiologists (plural) suggestion that lockdowns and shelter in place policies were harmful and coutnerproductive. Japan has the oldest population in the world. Population is half that of the US. Yet, here they are, going about their lives like it is normal.

But they sure as hell banned all Chinese and kicked the gaijins out.

So we have a known "good" treatment for the most severe COVID-19 cases and tons of evidence that lockdown policies are harmful? Okay, so when will we get the orders to return back to normal with preventative measures for the elderly and vulnerable?

The virus infected over 1.6 million people worldwide, while some 356,000 people recovered from the disease, according to data compiled by the U.S.’ Johns Hopkins University. Some 96,000 have died.

Devastating

People who contract coronavirus face a far greater risk of death than those who get the flu, the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) warned Friday.

“The mortality rate of COVID-19 is estimated to be 10 times higher than influenza,” Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told diplomatic mission chiefs via video.

It's easy to prove Tedros wrong but we've known he was exaggerating the numbers since the beginning. He has an agenda.

Here are the actual numbers:

~.7% mortality rate for SARS-CoV-2 and that's with an oversampling of the ill.

~.14% for the annual flu, this year. And that's with an oversampling of the ill due to the COVID-19 hysteria.

Look, I'm not dishonest like Tedros, here's the citations for all of this:

And the rhinovirus kills an estimated 2 million children each year but we don't shut down schools because of that.

Also, you mentioned cases. We have no reliable data, except Iceland's, that tells us how many of the population were exposed to the virus. On the high end, it's 90%. On the low end, it's 1%. Iceland's numbers show it to be 55%. So of the areas affectd, we are looking at hundreds of millions to slightly over a billion exposed.

And, topically, almost 1,000,000 signatures calling for the resignation of the WHO leader, Tedros, due to his corruption and incompetence:

I lol'd.

W.H.O. officials later clarified that Dr. Tedros’s figure was a crude “snapshot” based on incomplete data and heavily skewed by the intensity of the initial outbreak in Wuhan, China.

Now, even if it is lower, only the amount of Flu, or less... You are missing certain things, healthcare systems do not have built in capacity for a second Flu, healthcare systems are due to market concerns, generally underfunded, all kinds of lethal issues surround those possibilities alone

We already know he parroted communist propaganda.

Thank God you're intelligent enough not to defend it

But, yet, our hospitals were adequate enough to combat the 2017-2018 seasonal flu when 70,000 people died due to it.

Meanwhile, our hospitals are empty because we are really "busy" combating COVID-19.

Hint: this year's flu + COVID-19 < 2017-2018 seasonal flu.

"But but, all at once!" If we ended the lockdowns and never shut down the country, but only restricted visitation to the vulnerable and elderly, we'd be much more quickly on the way to being over it than we are now.

Looking at the World from a Country where healthcare is already stretched by everything from yellow fever to Ebola (5 years ago), we should all play our part in reducing deaths.

Seasonal Flu, is different, it doesn't behave in the same way at all, it is far less equipment intensive for one thing.

If you ended the shut downs with this because it is a new disease and people have no resistance it might rip through many emerging nations.
