The only thing that really ****ing annoys me about it is how the Chinese government acted in response to it. Even taking in to account the low rates of death when measured against the high rate of infection, one person dying is too many when it honestly seems like it could have been prevented.

Both the CDC and WHO have clarified that their numbers are overblown due to only severe cases with confirmed $3,500 COVID-19 cases being applied in specific scenarios.

In other words, your mortality rate is only for those with special circumstances (travelers) that are already severely sick enough to even warrant getting the expensive test to see if they have COVID-19.

This coronavirus sounds a lot like the chest/sinus illness that has been in my part of Florida since Thanksgiving. I'm not beyond thinking this may have been in the USA for months but never diagnosed as this specific virus.
