Right, so assuming we agree (and I'm guessing we do, for the most part), where is the disagreement, exactly?

If we put it on a sliding scale about how serious this is:

0 being completely benign.

10 being world ending plague (Black Plague would be a 9).

5 being the seasonal flu.

I'm at a 4.

You are or were at a 7.

My objective was to talk you and others back to a 5. If you're not as worried as before but still feel like it is a 6, what I was interested in pointing out is at least good enough.

If I could have these same frank conversations with the Aussies (because they got nearly rabid over to the point that they ran out of toilet paper, ffs), I would feel better about it.

Lately, I have a strong dislike of mass media. I feel that they are doing quite a bit of harm such as the hysteria they caused over COVID-19 and the shootings (evidence is a mile high that their obsessive coverage of mass shootings causes repeat offenders).

I puked and shit my pants the other night. Didn’t die.

And I appreciated the lube. I still had to pick the chunks out to make it smooth but it worked quite well.

This is why I'm willing to kiss you on the mouth...you are considerate.

I definitely don't agree with DDD's position that this virus is no more dangerous than the common flu but I don't treat it like it's the end of the world either.

I don't think I was ever at a 7, but if it seemed that way, okay.

If I was to gauge it, I can't say I would have been higher than a 6, which I think is perfectly reasonable.

Leftists: We aren't politicizing the corona virus and we are not rooting for failure!

Also leftists: Refer to virus as Trump virus, act like giddy school girls each time the DOW takes a hit, etc.

Lol too funny.

So we just had a confirmed case of coronavirus in Indianapolis. Not sure if it's been publicized yet, but...

then on the other side we have

"Because a lot people will have this and it's very mild. They'll get better very rapidly. They don't even see a doctor. They don't even call a doctor," Trump said.

"You never hear about those people. So you can't put them down in the category of the overall population in terms of this corona flu and — or virus. So you just can't do that," he continued. "So if, you know, we have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that get better, just by, you know, sitting around and even going to work — some of them go to work but they get better."

But also

"Grisham told reporters aboard Air Force One the trip was back on after the brief cancellation. She said the visit was canceled "out of an abundance of caution" after the CDC alerted the White House a CDC staff member was suspected to have contracted coronavirus."

And

"I would prefer going...now that the test came out negative,"

Indeed we do have that. It's not as bad, but still lol worthy.

I wanna reiterate that I'm not nearly as concerned about this virus itself as much as I am with what policies/measures the globalists/establishment will probably enact while using this crisis as justification for doing it.

Things like forced vaccinations, restricting travel, and locking people inside their houses like the communist chinese are currently doing in their country are some of the biggest concerns I have.

Of course doing things which would actually help like closing the borders or at least quarantining people for a few weeks who come into the country is unthinkable because, well... that would just be racist. 🙄

durup

He kind of has a point.

Corrupt governments live for any excuse to tighten their grip.

forced vaccinations and securing the borders megahard = <3

Many more of died in Italy, just from the flu, just this year, that WHO doesn't even have the hope to contain it (like all seasonal flus). Because COVID-19 is much easier to combat and contain, we can and should take preventative measures to save literal lives. Good news is: by doing this for COVID-19, you could save far more lives from the seasonal flu. It's like avoiding mountain lion helps you avoid the bear.

"...If this was an influenza epidemic, we would have expected to see widespread community transmission across the globe by now and efforts to slow it down or contain it would not be feasible.”

People should try to protect themselves individually from flu strains, said Mike Ryan, the head of the WHO’s emergencies program, but at a societal and global level, “we don’t necessarily attempt to contain or stop them because we fundamentally believe they will spread unabated.”

Based on that, do you think Italian public officials are capable of negligence? If they had taken slightly different precautions, they could have saved some of the 233 lives (as of 22 hours ago).

They shut down the country pretty much due to this. Perhaps too little, too late. But they are going to, perhaps, save far more lives from the flu by doing this.

The bar hopping man certainly is an animal, not sure he has a spirit.

I think someone in the Italian government is definitely guilty of negligence. Definitely. Though it does seem like, even had they had the best intentions and done their best, that shit still would have gotten through in some form or another, because Humans are largely idiots.

This very well written article covers the Princess Cruise ship infections (hooray for real journalism):

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_coronavirus_outbreak_on_cruise_ships

Poorly quarantined and large amounts of "population mixing." This creates case studies for virologists and infectious disease doctors (infectologists). It gets us closer to a worst case scenario, gives us true infection rates, gives us true mortality rates, and gives us true asymptomatic rates.

In a very closed environments where people constantly interact with each other in the same areas, over and over, with no way to avoid each other (meaning, higher chance of being infected), we can measure worst case scenarios and then go from there (for the world, at large):

Diamond Princess:
Total People Onboard:.......................3,618
Number Infected:.............................696
Asymptomatic Cases (no Symptoms):.410
Deaths:..........................................6
Mortality Rate:................................0.1%

World Dream:
Total People Onboard:.......................3,800
Number Infected:.............................3
Asymptomatic Cases (no Symptoms):.Unknown
Deaths:..........................................0
Mortality Rate:................................0.0%

MS Westerdam:
Total People Onboard:.......................2,257
Number Infected:.............................0
Asymptomatic Cases (no Symptoms):.0
Deaths:...........................................0
Mortality Rate:.................................0.0%

Grand Princess:
Total People Onboard:......................~3,300
Number Infected:.............................21
Asymptomatic Cases (no Symptoms): Unknown
Deaths:..........................................2
Mortality Rate:................................0.06%
