Protip: No one cares what you want, Surt. The world does not care about your feelings nor your identity politics.

I know, just like nobody cares what you or anywhere else here wants.

Yet I can still voice it nonetheless. And call it out.

Funny because it's true.

Consistency doesnt mean all cases are treated the same regardless of context.

In other words: if you agree with the cause violating lockdown guidelines is okay.

Sorry no, it doesn't work that way.

Did Johnson and Mattarella really do the same?

Johnson said early on people will die.

It was simply mismanaged here. But I do get the impression the government really didnt want to go into lockdown. But the ironic thing is if they started it early then they could have killed it off early and had the economy shut down for a much shorter time.

So somebody shouldnt break lockdown rules if their frail old dad has called saying hes fallen down the stairs?

Of course context matters.

And again you try explaining to the entire black community after something that brutal has happened that they have no right to protest.

Exactly, racism is intersectional.

Don't play these silly troll games the other sad souls here play.

You could leave for doctors appointments so you could probably leave to go help your father who just fell down the stairs. That's life or death.

The point is people were fined in some places for organizing anti-lockdown protests and the same didn't happen for these protests.

👆

I'd love an explanation for why a mayor or governor should be able to allow protests based on whether or not they agree with the cause.

Darth, lay it on me. Show me the law that allows it.

If it wasn't for double standards, those on the left would have no standards. 👆

Must just be a coincidence.

I know Trump and Bolsonaro did the "this is nothing, it's a hoax, it's been contained, we'll have zero cases in a few days" angle. Did Johnson and Mattarella really do the same?

Johnson did the "maybe we'll try herd immunity" thing before realising it was completely overwhelm the health system he helped weaken over the past decade and how that would look politically so he delayed for 3 weeks.

In fairness to Conte and Mattarella and as said, they got hit early. Their issue is general incompetence with everything else.

The context for going out was already laid out.

Essential workers can. You can go out for grocery shopping or for meds and doctors appointments.

That is the context of the reasons we were given it's okay to break lockdown.

Show me where protesting was added into the mix. And it has to be from before George Floyd, not after.
