Sending the team to China at that time would be unnecessary and do little.

What is the team supposed to do? Collect samples? Why not just ask China to send them to us or have some of our people take it back to the US in the dozens of trips we take to and from China each day as a government?

China already kept data under wraps. They'd be even less likely to share the data even if we visited them.

The Pandemic Task Force is a red herring conjured up by the left as a gotcha against Trump. It's another anti-Trump talking point that means nothing.

Idris Elba tested positive.

You and all of your fellow anti-Trump cultists have been coping since November of 2016.

You all will continue to do so till at least January of 2025. 😉

Lol I love Norm:

That settles it: we're calling this THD from now on.

I'm okay with that first part as it seems correct.

That last part, though, makes no sense. Why would they be selling already shelf-ready products to factories? What is the factory going to do?

Do they mean to distribute, vis-a-vis, wholesale? Then it would be a loss? Or do they mean that factories are going to do factory things? I don't get it at all.

Here is the post:

Had their plan worked perfectly, their profit would have been what, $170k? That’s a poor person’s idea of rich. They had a certain amount of initiative, they didn’t think through the risk factors very well. I’m guessing that they picked the wrong scale to operate at. They could have sold a few thousand face to face in a city. They could have unloaded a couple of hundred thousand to a warehouse type outlet.

You a member? Could ask him.

My brother and I have a few friends who are in the military and they are sounding the alarm lol. Saying make sure to stock up with enough food for 2 weeks at least.

I honestly don't know whether to take them seriously.

Maybe they know something we don't.

Like very real product shortages, and not a result of hoarding.

Could be, it's why I'm gonna be hitting up the store tomorrow. Looking for cheap items that can last long. So canned foods. Soups, etc. Stocking up on gatorade too.

So, after the announcement that the pubs are closing, Ireland develops a covid test that can find results in as quickly as fifteen minutes. I mean, stereotypes are awful, but...

I'm sure it's all just coincidence. 😛

Stereotypes can be awful, but you can drown your sorrows over the stereotypes by consuming copious amounts of beer.

Romney, other lawmakers call for sending $1,000 checks to Americans as part of coronavirus response

Two Democratic congressmen propose sending between $1,000 and $6,000 to every American making less than $65,000 a year

As Congress considers stimulus measures to help Americans who are facing financial problems because of the coronavirus outbreak, some lawmakers are calling for the government simply to put checks in the mail.

Republican Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah on Monday said Washington should “immediately send $1,000 checks to each American.”

“Every American adult should immediately receive $1,000 to help ensure families and workers can meet their short-term obligations and increase spending in the economy,” Romney said in a statement. “Congress took similar action during the 2001 and 2008 recessions.” -snip

🙂

I want a check too, damn it. Why should I not get one, because I make over that amount?

What a complete shitshow is admin is.

The San Francisco Bay Area just implemented a "Shelter in Place" for the next two to three weeks, meaning everyone needs to stay home and only essential businesses (food stores, banks, medical etc) should remain open.

If Trump had taken this seriously from the start back in mid Dec when he was warned and had people properly prepare since then, the chaos would not be nearly as bad as it is right now. Instead he opted to lie and gaslight. "We have the virus contained", "we will have zero cases in a few day" etc.

All bars and restaurants are closed to dine-in customers in Chicago.

Thank god they are still doing carry out Adam. At least in some places. Maybe all.
