The governor made the announcement on Friday at Two Meatballs in the Kitchen restaurant in Cape Coral. "I want to empower parents to make the best decisions they can for the wellbeing of their children," DeSantis said, in part, during the briefing.
"I have young kids," he added. "My wife and I are not gonna do the masks with the kids, we never have. I wanna see my kids smiling. I want them having fun."
