The best trolls, and the ones I didn't want to ban, were the trolls who were just having fun. Trolls who were trying to make a point, or upset over their bans, got old quickly. Especially when they were grown men in their 30s. But as they all found out, I'm unflappable and simply delete all threads and posts. biscuits
Whirly was my favorite. His Hair Bear and Top Cat themed accounts cracked me up. And By Crom was genius. I'd let Whirly go until the reports and PM complaints piled up. Glad the more militant mods stopped posting so we could let you back on KMC. I actually researched your original ban and posts leading up to it. Still don't know the reason. srug
The Judge was ht or miss with me. Sometimes he cracked me up and sometimes it was a chore dealing with the spam threads/posts. But personally, I was friends with Svend on FB.

For me, there's a difference between actual trolling to disrupt threads, trigger people, general douche-baggery and keeping up your KMC "persona".
Plus, we've all been here long enough to know how everyone posts. If you go into a thread you know how Surt and Rob are going to post. It's not their fault a person continually tries to argue their opinions on politics knowing what the replies will contain. This is the reason I don't I don't go scorched earth when reports come in.
Same with the vs forums. You know who the fanboys are and how they're going to post. I'm big on personal responsibility and accepting consequences for knowingly reading and responding to posts which you disagree.

It's simple. The marginalized nerds and geeks of the world that had no power over anyone in real life, finally had power over others. This taste of power went to their heads and they got overly zealous. Any affront to their newfound egos were met with extreme reactions. Hence Ush's entire KMC persona. Peach did this sometimes, too.
