Despite the proven efficacy and safety of the three FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccines currently available in the U.S., one anti-vaccine leader is urging his followers to treat the disease with their own urine.

It’s among the latest in “alternative” treatments touted by anti-vaccine advocates during the pandemic.

Christopher Key, known as the “Vaccine Police,” pitched the unsupported claim over the weekend on his Telegram account

Do they not understand what piss is? If it had any kind of value to the body, generally your body wouldn't be throwing it out.

They'll literally take treatments for other non-viral diseases, gargle with bleach, take horse medications and now drink their own piss if enough anti-vaxxers spread the info on social media, but they won't take a vaccine that's backed by the medical and science communities and proven to work...

I did not issue a mandate. I said if he posts off-topic, then I will report him for posting off-topic. I know what is the topic, because I am the one who created the thread.

Further, I did not state he could not participate in the discussion. I said that he needs to participate in this discussion, i.e. the one that is the subject of this thread, and not continue a discussion from another thread that he already got closed with his posting behavior.

Cordiality is a two-way street. If he wants me to be cordial, then he can start by not purposely trying to get a thread I have personally curated for over 75 pages closed with his unwillingness across three different threads to head moderator warnings.

Their posting behavior got the general COVID-19 thread closed. Another general COVID-19 thread was created as a replacement, with the caveat that the same posting behavior that got the previous one closed would not be permitted in it.

The same people continued the same behavior in that thread, and got it closed as well. Now, with nowhere to continue the posting behavior they were warned about, and that got two general COVID-19 threads closed, they have moved into this one.

Their goal is to derail the thread and get it closed, and instead of being disciplined for ignoring repeated warnings not to do so, they continue to be rewarded by getting thread after thread closed.

In one of her final Facebook posts, Kelly Canon shared several links to speeches she attended at a "COVID symposium" in Burleson in early December devoted to dissuading people from getting vaccines.

The event was organized by God Save Our Children, which bills itself as "a conservative group that is fighting against the use of experimental vaccines on our children." Canon had shared similar content on Twitter, where her most recent post was a YouTube video featuring claims that the coronavirus pandemic was "planned" in advance and part of a global conspiracy.

Unfortunately, her "religious exemption" only applies to vaccines, not from easily-preventable and unnecessary death.

Dude. No. The previous threads got closed because all of you. All of you. Couldn't behave yourselves. Yes, some were worse than others, but most of the people posting in that thing were not remotely innocent of wrongdoing.

If you could ALL behave, there would be no problem keeping a Covid thread open.

Covid continues to be a major issue across the world and the most proven and cost effective way to combat it is the vaccines.

Also Covid has killed more people in the last 2ish years then the flu has in the past decade by a lot.

Also the people crying about covid being made political are the ones that made it political to protect that moron Trump or their precious beliefs.

History will remember most of the conservative U.S. that was against covid mandates like masking getting the vaccine as idiots who got people killed because they cared more about their feelings than actual science.
