West Virginia Governor "Extremely Unwell" with COVID

Governor Jim Justice has tested positive for the coronavirus. The Governor's Office late Tuesday announced Justice opted to get tested after experiencing "the sudden onset of symptoms," including congestion and coughing.

Following a positive PCR test, the West Virginia State Lab performed confirmatory testing, which produced another positive result. The governor will receive monoclonal antibody treatment because of his age.

According to his office, Justice is experiencing moderate symptoms and remains isolated at home. Justice said in a statement he was feeling "extremely unwell at this point."

Okay...

Covid continues to be a major issue across the world and the most proven and cost effective way to combat it is the vaccines.

Also Covid has killed more people in the last 2ish years then the flu has in the past decade by a lot.

Also the people crying about covid being made political are the ones that made it political to protect that moron Trump or their precious beliefs.

History will remember most of the conservative U.S. that was against covid mandates like masking getting the vaccine as idiots who got people killed because they cared more about their feelings than actual science.

Spoiler alert: it's all just trypanophobia.

All I know about West Virginia is life is old there, older that the trees but younger than the mountains.

Hope he recovers, iirc, he's one of the few GOP who pushed for vaccines and attacked the morons in his state pushing vaccine conspiracy nonsense.

Don't forget the breezes.

Look how triggered people get when you question this nonsense. Crikey 😱

Murdering children with experimental poison seems acceptable nowadays

I did not issue a mandate. I said if he posts off-topic, then I will report him for posting off-topic. I know what is the topic, because I am the one who created the thread.

Further, I did not state he could not participate in the discussion. I said that he needs to participate in this discussion, i.e. the one that is the subject of this thread, and not continue a discussion from another thread that he already got closed with his posting behavior.

Cordiality is a two-way street. If he wants me to be cordial, then he can start by not purposely trying to get a thread I have personally curated for over 75 pages closed with his unwillingness across three different threads to head moderator warnings.

Therein lies the problem.

Their posting behavior got the general COVID-19 thread closed. Another general COVID-19 thread was created as a replacement, with the caveat that the same posting behavior that got the previous one closed would not be permitted in it.

The same people continued the same behavior in that thread, and got it closed as well. Now, with nowhere to continue the posting behavior they were warned about, and that got two general COVID-19 threads closed, they have moved into this one.

Their goal is to derail the thread and get it closed, and instead of being disciplined for ignoring repeated warnings not to do so, they continue to be rewarded by getting thread after thread closed.

We don't want to be subjected to your covid spam. It's boring.

It's more exciting if we have a little debate isn't it.

just report him 8 million times because facts hurt your feefees.
then stand victorious as no covid discussuin is allowed in the forum.

sorry mods, yall seem like you're probably cool irl, but here you are obviously operating in bad faith with your "both sides blah blah", and "herp derp nobody is innocent"

stop acting like this is a real job, or that you've behaved professionally over this. just close the thread to reward the trolls like everyone knows you're going to do.

the cdc says that my life expectacy is shortened by 9 years due to my injury...so from a certain point of view, I'm over a year older than you now. how's that for irony, junior?

Mandates such a huge success.

Hospitals considering hiring back unvaccinated employees.

No surprise there, the hispanic/latino community disproportionately makes up nurses and nurses aides, and are also disproportionately vaccine skeptics.

Trying to force the issue has proven a losing proposition, as that means no health care workers.

all is good, I didn't get to take my newest kids to meet my newest grandkids, because I was scared I wouldn't get back I Nigeria after Christmas due to all the changes Goverments were making a month ago. Soon this must happen 😂

Bash what doctors say doesn't always come to pass in 88 my father had a quad bypass, they said it would last a max 15-20 years. Almost 35 years later he's 93 and still here. I hope they are also wrong about you and 35 years from now we are still shit posting on the internet.

no worries anyway. it'll only become relevant when/if i get to be as old as your dad, when I'd basically become way more vulnerable to things such as stroke or fatal pnemonia for example...more vulnerable than the average geriatric

When you say disproportionately, what does this mean? Disproportionate to what? Genuine question.
