LoL. Playing with a controller is one of the things I love about consoles. I would hate playing with a mouse or keyboard. As I said, I like playing sitting back in my recliner; playing with a mouse and/or keyboard would make that difficult.

And the only time any of my consoles over the years have ever broken is because of some accident on my part.

Yep, you're right about PC's having much better graphics and quicker loading times though.

You can use a controller for most PC games. I use one most of the time for the same reason.

Some potentially good gaming coming out this year my Bros and hoes.

Cyberpunk 2077 and bloodlines 2.

Shits getting raw as hell

You are partially correct, but I still find DS1 has an overall more challenging level of difficulty — although obviously nowhere near as hard as when I first played it, new games are still always somewhat challenging for me (I'm not a top tier player by any stretch of the imagination). Bloodborne NGs, too, always provide a bit of a challenge — but DS3 I've found way easier right off the bat. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure if it was the first Souls game someone played it'd still be real tough.

I'm sure some of the later bosses will be a nice challenge, though, and I might just be underestimating the early areas. I've only fought the first two bosses so far, but I haven't died yet. That being said, DS2 had this thing for me where I blazed through some bosses and then got mega-stuck on others. Man, **** Elana. Legit despised her, only Soulsbourne boss I truly hate.

DS2 has some great bosses too tho, even if others are really weak — I really enjoy the Pursuer, and the Burnt Ivory King is one of my top bosses of the entire series.

Anyway, if you say DS3 has some of the best bosses, then I'm excited to get more into it and see how it goes. I'm leaving it a while to play it more, in a kind of masochistic hope that I'll be rusty by the time I get back to it and suck at playing, haha.

Two bosses, so I assume you're talking about Gundyr and Vordt?

I can't imagine finding someone like Asylum Demon and Taurus Demon harder than them tbh, in terms of first boss difficulty neither are hard naturally but Dark Souls 3 beats 1 by miles.

Dark Souls 2's Last Giant is also much easier, but Pursuer might be the hardest second boss in Dark Souls proper.

Xbox/ps4 controller works with PC if that’s more your style.

Just to give you an example.

Because I have a One X.

Between worlds on D2 can take upwards of 1-2 minutes, sometimes longer. On PC 15-20 seconds on my rig..

I have a buddy that has a m.2 hard drive, he loads in 5-10 seconds.

Sometimes by the time I load in he’s half way on the other side of the map.

I don't think anyone is disputing that PC's are better than consoles performance wise.

I tried playing dark souls high and I got beat and I just never tried again

Forget performance. PCs allow mods.

Broly, yes I've heard about people who play on pc being able to use a controller. But they don't actually come with a controller do they? Could my PS3 controller work on pc or does it have to be a PS4/xbox controller? I also have an xbox 360 controller. Would that work?

Consoles are notoriously prone to breaking, not loading games and being weak on graphics. Also you have to play with your thumbs which is basically garbage.

Right, no one debated graphics and system power. My PS1 and N64 still worked fine nearly 20 years later lol.

The controller thing is mostly preference. Sure, there's an advantage in shooters for mouse/keyboard, but then again, can you name a single mouse/keyboard player who won a major fighting game tournament?

Regardless, the controller debate is mostly moot. Peripherals exist for console and PC. You can use arcade sticks, hitboxes, pads, mouse/keyboard, instruments, gloves, your wang, whatever you want at this point.

Meanwhile, on top of a gaming platform that is strictly superior to a console, Supra also has a perfectly usable computer which he can use to do computer things, like shitpost on KMC.

A decent gaming PC is the superior gaming experience and is by far the more versatile piece of technology. I bought my PC like four years ago and haven't had to upgrade shit and I still can play new releases on maximum settings. And I'm a lazy douchebag who just buys new PCs whole, I could have done it more cheaply if I built it.

Right, but that isn't what Broly was talking about.

Technically, you can shitpost from your console as well. The lines between "PC stuff" and "console stuff" are increasingly getting blurred. A good PC does it better, but I was just saying you're also paying for those things. A 300$-400$ PC isn't going to play much.

You can connect a 360 controller to a PC. I have something that let's u fool a game into thinking a PC controller is a 360 controller

I've been using a PS2 controller since forever, ever since I bought a dongle from Radio Shack for 15 bucks on a whim.

A good general purpose gamepad, except for those times when "Directplay" isn't supported. For that I have a GameStop wired 360 Gamepad.

Which I'm starting to prefer to be honest, it's much easier on the fingers.

Hollow Knight is one of those games that does not support direct play. Although you can get around that with a little program called Joy2key. I used it to configure my 360 right stick to Mouse aim in Duke Nukem 3D, and it works great.

PCs break just as often or don’t even work out of the box sometimes. Any piece of advanced electronics is going to have a failure rate.

I like PC gaming a lot. I do it a lot. But I don’t like the elitism that people sometimes have with it. I think people just use whatever they’re comfortable with. They both have pros and cons. They both offer a good experience. Just comes down to what you want.

The separation is private going to get smaller soon though. Both the PS5 and the new Xbox are going to be absolute beasts and it sounds like console games will be getting a greater deal of customizable options for next gen.

My SNES works great. 👆

I actually only just beat Armored Core Project Phantasma's arena mode on PS1 hardware, played through the original Armored Core (Never did beat Nineball though), and started playing Final Fantasy 9.

My PS2 is my primary console, just because the library is so large and varied. Arc the Lad Twilight of the Spirits, if you haven't played it, hunt it down. Walks all over any Final Fantasy game and most Jrpg's imo.

For me, it's all about reliability.

My last laptop was fine for three years, then had a fan problem.

My 360 is reliable enough, but occasionally has online issues which affects certain games.

My PS2 works as good as the day I got it, the games look sharp despite being 480P/i, and I don't have to ever worry about updates, connectivity, hacking, or other issues common in today's joy boxes.

PS2 was great. So many great titles.

I use a Logitech F310 controller on my laptop. It has a switch on that back does that automatically, toggling between XInput and DirectInput. I only really play League of Legends with my keyboard/mouse. I prefer pad for 95% of other games, although I use pad/mouse when possible with shooters.

Unfortunately all my older consoles (snes,Sega, nes) don't work.

Thank God/the empty void for emulators

Tee hee, I have a Logitech too

You can't go wrong with a Rasberry Pi.

Or in my case, an Atgames Legends 2018 box on clearance for 20 dollars loaded up with my entire Steam library of legally purchased Sega Genesis roms I paid 10 bucks for. Bonus, the gamepads that come with it are Sega Genesis clones.

Don't let the bad reviews of Atgames throw you, they are highly variable in terms of quality. I just happened to get one of the good ones.

Yeah, I'll admit in the past people had more of a valid claim to roms. Stuff was harder to get ahold of back then.

Still I'll always feel nostalgic about playing Chrono trigger on a laptop. I used ZSNES.

Also I've been buying Logitech controllers for a while.

I remember years ago buying Jedi outcast 2 and a Logitech controller to use with it. I was like 16.
