DC is plenty dark.

It's not.

Unless you focus on Batman, Constantine or Sandman.

There's just a right way of doing it. Snyder's way is not that way. It's not even dark anyway... it's just edgy.

Yeah, that is correct.

Snyder works the best when he doesn't tinker with the original source. Remember 300? It was almost the same as the comic.

If every other adaptation were so accurate, we comic fans would have little to nothing to complain about.

Snyder cut was absolutely trash. 2/10. its not better than:
Iron 2 or 3
Captain Marvel
Any of the Avengers( including AOU)
Or Thor 1 and 2
When your movie could not compartmentalize a story within a normal time frame...or even peak your interest for 2hrs and 30mins into the film...it should be critiqued harder than the movies mentioned.
None of those movies got a redo aswell, They had some interesting spots in the movie but not enough to cross the line of beating any of the movies said.

The slow motion is overdone, overwrought, and just flat out silly. Snyder could cut *at least* 20 minutes from this movie just by cutting out the slow-motion/slow walking crap. That Flash moment with Iris was borderline egregious. The Vic football scene looked silly because of it. Snyder tries so hard to make his movies “epic,” but he doesn’t know how. He thinks slow motion is synonymous with “epic.”

There were numerous scenes that were either not needed or unnecessarily drawn out. He could have easily trimmed an hour off of this film just from content that added nothing to it. Finally, I don’t have any type of emotional investment in his movies. There wasn’t a single moment in this where I felt compelled to jump up and clap or cheer. Not one. There was no sense of awe or wonder

Also, Steppenwolf had his little spiel about no Lanterns or Kryptonians to defend Earth. When they attacked Earth 5000 years prior, there were no Kryptonians there. In fact, as far as we know, there were no Kryptonians taking up residence on Earth before Clark. So then, it would stand to reason that they had been monitoring Earth to even know that there had been any Kryptonian there, would it not? Given that Superman was only active for 18 months before he died, that would mean that they were monitoring Earth within the 2 years prior to the events of the movie.
So how the heck could they not remember Earth?!! The one place across the entire multiverse and 10,000 worlds or whatever they said, where DArKsEiD got clapped up and took an ‘L’! Like seriously, you’ve never lost but you forget that the place that you’ve obviously been monitoring is the one place you got your wig pulled back?!

Whats even worse is Steppenwolf gets his cap pulled back, literally, and DArKsEiD stands at the boom tube portal with his entire army, Granny Goodness and who knows who else staring at the Justice League and doesn’t step through and run them fades.
DArKsEiD has the Omega Effect by this point, apparently, but doesn’t want the smoke with a team of 6 people who showed that Superman was the only true threat.
Thanos would never. This movie is trash, Everything about DC is trash.

alberto convinced me, what a master critic

but yes, Snyder working off source material other than his own? I'd love to see it.

300 is snyder's one and only good film.. his cult are delusional pissant punks who can't think straight

im so laughing at the two snyder cultist in here who are having meltdowns over their beloved

I actually liked his Dawn of the Dead remake, too.

Even though it can't really hold a candle compared to the original - Romero is... was... the only true master of the zombie genre.

Wow this was pretty awesome.

Complete turn around from the theatrical release.

He has that new Vegas zombie heist movie coming out too. Wonder if it'll be any use.

The whole "you don't understand how good it really is" argument has been overused since Matrix Reloaded. Come on.

I mean, I think Bruce is dead wrong, but come on. Watchmen isn't a masterpiece either.

How many versions of Watchmen are there?

Theatrical, director's cut, ultimate cut... and that's it, or some other version exists, too?

I'm seriously asking, lol.

I believe just 2, theatrical and ultimate(of which I own).

.....

Nah.

Three at least, Jan:

Warner released a 186-minute director's cut of the film, expanded from the 162-minute theatrical cut, on all formats on July 21, 2009. This was followed by the November 10, 2009, home video release of the 215-minute "Ultimate Cut". It comprises the director's cut with Tales of the Black Freighter edited in throughout, along with additional newsstand framing sequences. The Ultimate Cut was released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 19, 2016.[81]

That explains why I dont know.. I never got into LOTRs. Thanks

Excellent films.

Which should never have gotten mentioned even once in the same thread as Snydershit.

Snyders edgy Schtick can work for DC, but just on the right projects and in the right medium.

Like Watchmen or even an R rated Justice League series akin to Titans.

But doing it for a mainstream JL movie (the first and only, but his extended cut), was just stupid AF.

IMO of course.

1) It's not a matter of opinion, it's the simple truth.

2) You're on KMC. This ain't no place for subtleties.
