Zack Snyder's Justice League

Enjoying the meltdowns from the MCU faithful. I haven't blown a load this big since a Thai boy stroked me before covid lockdown

Here are my thoughts on this Zack's cut

Anyone who defends this as this is some "vision" of Zack's Snyder and how he was betrayed by the studios is crazy. It's 4 hour movie! It would never have been released like this. Any version he released in the theaters would have not have been good if it was anything less than 3 hours. Even if you cut out all the non essentials stuff he threw in this movie, you'd need to keep it at minimum 3 hours to keep it good.

That said, this movie was surprisingly good. Admittedly, i expected more back story for every character not named Superman and Diana. Cyborg was probably the finest gem in this movie. He not only had a coherent story but it developed pretty naturally throughout the movie. The part with the recorder was nice way to close the movie. Flash isn't as cringe as in the theatrical cut but that scene with Iris was bad. Action scenes are superb and movie color theme is much better. Every character feels important and as if they have something to contribute.

CGI is pretty bad. You can't cover it up. This movie wont age well in a few years.

Stepphenwolf no longer sounds like a idiot who keeps calling for his mother. He looks more badass and threatening in this movie, especially considering the fact that we see a lot of body parts being chopped. Darkseid was fine, wasn't expecting that much screentime.

I give this movie a 8/10 at most. It's hard not to compare it to the theatrical cut and give it a better score based on that alone. it's not the Citizen Kane of our time lol. It's not even close. I still think that goes to the Dark Knight or Ironman

With all that said, we likely wont see another Zack Snyder DCU movie. He is too risky but it's kinda a pity. Although his universe would never match MCU, i probably would have supported WB in expanding this universe despite how bad BVS seemed to have been with the audience. Instead, we get more recast and more reboots. No real studio direction other than drying out whatever IP they can.

Cheers to the people who kept asking for a Snyder Cut. Manged to "Re-release" a better version and give a middle finger to anyone who doubted them.

"Joker" also doesn't have anything to do with comics or DCEU 😖hifty:

That's... actually a good thing though in Joker's case. For a character that has otherwise been done to death (his interactions with Batman, etc), being given a fresh take for a film, whose subject matter came out at just the right time, was a boon that most other films would be jealous of. The oscar aside, Joker still became like the highest grossing R film, beating out Deadpool even.

WB can occasionally pull off a successful experiment such as that, but can't properly build up an extended universe to save their life, so they still lose in the long run.

Yes, but you see... you could change the film's title and sever its (very loose) ties to DC Universe... and it would still be the same movie.

Calling it "Joker" and claiming it was based on comics was just used to get it some big attention, easy advertising.

It wasn't a comic book film.

Still it could have been an origin story for Letos Joker.

But they didnt want to go there due to how poorly received he was. So it is all related to how the DCEU just hasnt worked.

Now Batman is getting a reboot outside of the DCEU. Probably Superman as well. It all points to the DCEU probably not lasting too much longer. Unless Black Adam ignites new life into it. Although thats more likely to crossover with Shazam before anything else.

I did like 300 and Watchmen though.
Dawn of the Dead was pretty good too if I remember correctly.

Not as good as the original, but yes, it was decent.

Zack'S JLA IS a masterpiece, the Citizen Kane/Shawshank Redemption of 2021 imho. 10/10

😂 So you're obviously trolling. anybody saying it's good is trolling. This shit is lame as hell, same movie with extra scenes and the shit they made better they ****ed it up with unnecessary additions like that dumb ass Xena warrior princess yodel before wonder woman's theme during her first fight scene. That dumbass norwegian singing shit when aquaman swam off in the beginning was senseless. the movie is catering to an emo psuedo-intellectual fan base, and you're apart of it.

The added shit is basically just over-explaining the shit from the whedon cut. The shit that is an improvement is drowned out by stupid sound tracks and slow motion.

Four hours is doable, Lord of the Rings wasn't far off at three hours and forty.

That's a hook, even. Longest movie since the golden age of cinema, when rhey did six hour movie!

The studio should have made the Syder cut happen, warts and all.

It was nice in a weird way. 7.5/8.

I still don't care for everything being grey, moody characters, 2010's 13 year old perception of 'dark' tone, Superman not being Superman, excessive slow mo etc.

Lol. I think the MCU faithfuls are laughing at the DC faithfuls thinking this was some kind of masterpiece or somethong and thinking they now have something over Marvel. Its exactly what everybody knew was going to happen.

Could have been twenty minutes shorter without the slo-mo. 😂

Thought it was kinda cool. Lots of it was boring, lots of it was pretty kickass.

Yeah, its boringness factor has already become legendary:

Oh I don't think it's anywhere near boring enough to be described as legendary but word

lol ok
That’s for your opinion

Another factor for me, while I didn't hate this, thought it improved on the original. It's not good enough to justify another four hour watch.
