He was most definitely in the wrong and the protests were justified, however that small group of people that decided to escalate the situation into looting and rioting must shoulder 100% of the blame for their actions. No one forced them to do it
Agreed 💯
It’s sad we still have to live like this.

While he may have set the stage for one, everyone involved retained their free will. They chose to cross the line from peacefully protesting to rioting
I doubt their actions will help the individuals who have to work tomorrow. Idiots follow people with an agenda. Saw some footage of a black clothed, respirator wearing, umbrella carrying guy smashing an AutoZone shops windows with a hammer. Seemed like he was an incitor.

Disregarding the fact that what you're describing fits the definition of terrorism. The problem with that theory is, these guys aren't saying give us these concessions or we'll loot and riot. They are just looting and rioting, once they're done they'll just disappear into the background until the next tragedy they can use to justify their criminal activity.
I'll leave aside the politics of what gets labeled terrorism and what does not. I wholeheartedly agree with your analysis of this case, there is relatively little if any political power behind them, they are not organized enough, nor do they have any clear demands, so this anger is not going to lead to very much, and I would even tend to agree that a lot of it is more based on criminal energy and opportunism, rather than outrage and anger at the injustice of the killing, and killings like it. This discussion was based on dismissing protesting, rioting and looting as an effective form of political action outright.

Yeah speaking of those who have to work tomorrow:
24 Target stores in the Twin Cities close 'until further notice' amid unrest
And as for the black clothed person smashing shit, sounds like a cowardly little antifa thug taking advantage of the chaos.
who f*cking cares about the target, surt. you care about literally nothing in this topic, you fascist cuntboy gimp. go roll your wheelchair off a cliff.
glad you're having fun with the topic tho

Bet they don't even know the dead mans last name. George who?

I just don't understand why the community would react in as way that reinforces every single negative stereotype about the black community. Of course it wasn't everyone, but jesus. What about the employees at Target? Who are probably mostly black.

Mainly that rioting and looting is not a productive means of protesting perceived systematic Injustice. Also, I don't believe most of the people currently indulging in such activities are doing so with the purposes of protesting in mind, they are just opportunistic criminals looking to get free stuff.
Saw a vid yesterday. Reporter stopped a looter and asked about his thoughts on George Floyd. Looter said (paraphrasing but it is very close), "The hell is that? I just want some Nikes."
Also, I keep seeing comparisons between the Boston Tea Party and the murder (sorry, not going to mince words: he was murdered) of George Floyd.
No, the systematic oppression and rape of the Colonial Americans is not comparable. And looting/raiding local businesses, owned and operated by locals, is not even close to comparable to dumping British Tea into the ocean. In order for those two to be equivalent, it would have to be the systematic killing of black people by the police and the police force people to purchase useless home alarm systems at a heavily marked up prices to pay for more guns and APCs to kill more black people.
If the two were comparable, it would be like the Colonials raiding and looting their own damn businesses to protest the British taxes, rapes, and murder. Which is retarded AF.
If black people and Democrats actually cared about black people dying, then they'd be protesting in the neighborhoods where thousands of young black men are killed by other young black men.

Newest footage that I've seen shows 2 other police next to the officer with his knee on the man's neck. None of those officers should be allowed to walk freely.

I've been reading that George died after the 3 officers were on him.
Also, the cop with his knee on his neck worked with George at a night club where they both provided security.
Did they have a beef with each other? He clearly knew the guy. This situation seems fishy. Feels like a hit job.
