It's not just about Target. They got a Wendy's too. This is so awful.

Yeah speaking of those who have to work tomorrow:

24 Target stores in the Twin Cities close 'until further notice' amid unrest

And as for the black clothed person smashing shit, sounds like a cowardly little antifa thug taking advantage of the chaos.

Wouldn't surprise me at all.

Also, the chart you posted above is "racist", Surtur. You know that. Facts that hurt fee fees and destroy certain BS narratives are always racist.

I'm 50-50 on the text in that meme. 50% of me thinks "Let their city remain permanently burned, broken, and ruined. If I was a business, I wouldn't ever re-open in that city."

The other 50%: their police chief said that many of the people being arrested for their crimes are from out of time. Crisis actors? Opportunistic pirates just like we saw in Ferguson. So that means some shitty people, from out of town, was a significant portion of ruining the city.

Well...

Okay, hear me out.

If you're mad at the police for systematic racism and violence against black people, the rioting and the looting should ONLY be done to the police stations and no where else.

But I don't think any rioting and looting should be done at all. None. But if they are going to do it...see above.

I agree at least there is a method to the madness this time. I've said it before if they are gonna do it...go after the cops.

Of course, I'd have zero sympathy if anyone gets shot over it. But it makes zero sense to burn down your community. And they always blame it on outsiders whenever this happens in a city.

And speaking of blaming outsiders, I can see someone coming to go get a new vacuum or something from Target, but not to go attack a police station. That seems like locals doing it.

Which is fine, their tax dollars will got to repairing it. Nice. Got 'em.

I do agree that it makes more sense if you're so upset at the cops then attack them instead of places of business but that doesn't change the fact that doing so is wrong. They should all be charged with arson and perhaps even attempted murder too.

Eh, the video seems quite clear.

It won't. It will be paid for by Target's insurance. Taxes won't pay for civil unrest.

I meant the damage to the police station. I figure that would be coming out of the tax payer pocket.

How hard is it to review all evidence, sit down with your peers and SMEs, and come to a conclusion in less than a day?

Oh. Right. A city bond will get passed to pay for it...or taxes raised.

😐

One building was in danger of exploding. I'm not sure if it was the 3rd precinct or not.
