Didn't post that for you, and your opinions are all quite flushable

"Coppola encouraged his protege to direct his own movies" -snip

Did not know that, could be that we have Star Wars because of Coppola's encouraging hand. Kinda cool.

...and GL was originally going to do apocalypse now. Those two were running everything

The praise for Star Wars comes from special effects.

No, Star Wars (1977) and Empire Strikes Back are both generally considered two of the greatest movies of all time (though Lucas only directed the former).

But yes Lucas always broke bounds and changed in special effects. That includes the Prequels. Not just special effects, but the way he used them. Love or hate the guy you can't really deny the guy has a hack of an imagination.

I'm on both sides of this because tbh I don't think the man himself has much imagination. He had the wisdom to put trust in people with great imagination and would approve the ideas that he liked. Sorry but it's like watching Musk act like he's the mother-brain behind SpaceX and Tesla

Or twitter.

I know it's old, but it's new to me (reminds me of someone)

Kinda like how you post offensive memes yet insult others who do.

Scapegoat time again? I ruined your life? Jews bad?

The practical effects in Star Wars and Empire are mind-blowing.

Oddly enough, the uk general election next Thursday might be the 1st election in my life that I won't vote in.

It's not that I think "they're all the same" but they all either have proven themselves corrupt, incompetent or both or don't align with my values. Pretty sad state of affairs to be honest.

^ Not sure Labour are corrupt or incompetent. But they certainly are f***ing liars, and stand for nothing except to get into power.

I think I've asked you before but would you not vote Greens?

They usually don't stand candidates against the SNP but that might have changed since the Bute House Agreement was scrapped by Humza Yousaf. I vote for them in Holyrood in the 2nd vote proportional representation seats. But again, they didn't stand candidates against the SNP in the 1st vote seats.

Actually I just checked my candidate list. No Greens.

I actually know the Labour candidate in my seat personally and professionally. He's a good guy. Unfortunately he's anti Scottish independence so he won't be getting my vote.

My only option at this point in Alex Salmond's Alba Party but it's essentially a wasted vote. They probably won't get more than 1,000 votes and may be lucky not to lose their deposit.

I also regularly use the voteforpolicies website but it doesn't have a scotland option yet cos the SNP only launched their manifesto today.

Cardboard Styrofoam is just going to continue Blair's old policies, more bullshit education (lower passing grades and subpar universities and courses), bullshit jobs in the NHS (their record on mental health is abysmal), and more bullshit money to the counsel so they can work so slow all they have to do is show up.

Nobody expected Blair to follow suit with the Iraq invasion, considering it's Bush... now imagine if Trump wins, invades Crimea, Yemen or some other shit show and Starmer's just like "special relationship, y'all!" Yeah, imagine...

I took the test and apparently I should vote green!

So then vote green.

My seat is a labour stronghold, what's the point?

Same point as all the spastics voting Reform.
