I'm wondering if people even care about these conventions.
It is hard for me to imagine anyone who would be swayed by anything that happened at the DNC. It is hard for me to imagine Republicans can say anything at the RNC that will give them more votes too.
I think most people have already decided and those that are on the fence will not be swayed by these disastrous conventions.
Seriously say what u want about opinions on it, but they objectively exploited a child by bringing in the child of someone deported by democrats to read some weepy letter. That's odd.
They brought in Michael Bloomberg, odd given all the trash talking, but not odd given money talks. They brought in both Clintons for...reasons, I don't even know why. Nobody is gonna vote Biden cuz Hillary told them to do so.
I wonder if most people did what I did: didn't watch and just got caught up by the fawning media coverage.

I think normally the candidates enjoy a short lived bump in popularity after the conventions. But as you said these are not normal times and I think far less people are going to watch these than normal so they probably won’t have much of an impact. They serve more to get the base excited for their candidate.
