Perhaps he thinks his injury is somehow Trump's fault lol (you know how lefties like to blame everything on him) and since you admitted you voted for Trump already he is directing his anger at you.
You know what really grinds my gears? The "Rogue Agent becomes wanted man, get results and all charges are dropped" storyline.
1. Results shouldn't make up for breaking every rule in the book.
2. No lesson is ever taught about maybe giving top performers enough of the benefit of the doubt, to not make going rogue the only option available.
Like if a Snake Eyes found a lot of mentions of Cobra, and was sure there was a Cobra conspiracy, two other Joes independently think there's a Cobra out there, and General Hawk insists there is no Cobra. So Snake Eyes goes rogue, gets hunted all over the place, finally finds evidence, and Hawk says "Oh, you have hard evidence now? All charges are dropped!"
Instead of just trusting his gut from the start, especially if one or two other Joes have the same suspicions, having everyone keep their eyes open, maybe do an investigation when they can spare the men..

Yeah, in a lot of ways that is also propaganda to extend the capabilities of secret services and police forces. The idea that the rules that police have to abide by are really stopping them from doing their job is used to pass laws like spying on everyone's communications or warrantless searches, etc.
