You make a good point, I'll refute with, he was getting Americans make fun of themselves, and credit where it's due, they did. I think Kevin or Stanley were probably the best, or maybe Dwight, Jim and Pam.... Andy was bad but then turned good, I guess. I really liked Erin.... she's hot.
Never watched the American Office but yeah, self-deprication is a staple of comedy. Can you honestly say that Blackadder didn't stick a large inflatable pair of fingers up to British culture. I think the best thing Americans have drawn from British comedy is that they don't have to have a lead who is largely infallible.
Gone are the days where we had a guy like Jerry Seinfeld or that Paul Blart guy, turn to the camera every 5 minutes and say; 'The guy sitting on either side of me is an idiot, I'm going to keep noticing things about the people in my life and making cool, sarcastic little comments about them to you, the viewer.'
There are leading men and women on American comedy shows now that are as quirky and weird as the quirky and weird character on the same show.

It's also a marketing thing. Like Tarantino being heavily advertised with Eli Roth's Hostel, Tom Hanks being advertised as being involved with Band of Brothers and Pacific.Pretty sure it's also a tax thing as their actor's salary will be put back into the production so they are technically helping finance it and they'll get paid in a different way.
Good point. Like 'Wes Craven Presents... a horror movie that he had virtually nothing to do with.'

Nah, Stewart Lee. On the subject of Black Adder, Rik Mayall's death silenced me.
Having said that, I'd hold him up more to like Dara O'brien and the likes. Some of the names escape me.. apologies.

If they're using it without his permission he has every right.
Lol they don't have his permission but they don't need it. He admitted this is due to the contract he signed.
So legally they were in the clear. It just bugs the little b*tch he isn't making money and signed a dumb contract.
It's still on HBOMax and shit lol. So not a legal thing.

He even admits it is perfectly legal.

His comedy rant about it at a forthcoming gig will be good though, probably why this is happening TBH.
Dave isn't some disgruntled wanna be that never amounted to anything. He's also not known for being a jerk.
If he says the industry itself has systemic problems in how they render contracts, I'm inclined to believe him.
Not that I need more evidence. Did you know Darth Vader was never paid for "Return of the Jedi", because they essentially paid themselves all the massive profits they made to shell companies so they could write on paper that the movie made a loss?

He could have highlighted this without demanding the content be removed.

His massive sold out arena tours would disagree.
His acting doesn't get the credit it's due. Freeze Frame was tremendous
