It's not 'airing petty internet drama', though. Like I say, I don't get any negative feelings from confronting Bash. I just find it interesting that his friends, such as you, will excuse any and all of his behaviour, then turn it back onto the people he harasses and make it seem like it's their fault, which is entirely what you're doing here.

With all of this talk about 'racist dog whistles' and 'everyone is alt-right' at the moment, I find is confusing that when dealing with a legit abusive bigot, you simply don't care, excuse his behaviour, and in fact tell the people he targets that they're 'triggered' and to just stop being pussies. This is the hypocrisy I am talking about — how can you not see that? You sound exactly like the people you claim to stand against.

I have far more an issue with that than anything Bash might say.

But it is petty Internet drama. What you are complaining about is a stranger on the Internet not honoring your request to cease responding to your posts on a message board, when it is entirely within your power to not respond to him, to place him on Ignore, or to step away from the computer if the interaction is causing you distress. But let us not pretend that an individual poster giving you a hard time is the same as a plethora of others expressing support for dangerous far-right ideologies. Those things are not in the same ball field, they are not even the same ****ing sport.

Your decision to ignore actual bigotry is noted, Adam.

So any member of the LGBT community that is bullied on the internet and it causes them to self-harm or take their lives is a fool who could just "sign out and step away", right?

And all the cyber-bullying laws on the books should be removed, right?

Adam is sounding like a hardcore Republican. I wonder if Rob and Whirly will still back him on his right wing positions.

Besides, there are plenty of possible 'Republican' (or just generally conservative / right-wing type) cool anime characters.

—Vegeta

—Great Teacher Onizuka

—Satsuki Kiryuin (Kill la Kill)

—Alexander Anderson (Hellsing)

—Koko Hekmatyar (Jormungand)

and... others.

Vegeta is a ****ing loser. He’s just a hype man for Goku now, comes in and loses to the big baddy and then Goku comes and wins. Vegeta also gets bitched around by Bulma. She has his balls in her purse.

Yeah, that is a major issue for the show in general: everyone just becomes a cheerleader for Goku in the end.

The show is fun and pretty amusing but I don’t really get why it’s held in such high regard.

saying "for nostalgia" sounds disingenuous as there are a lot of fun things about the show. But so much of a generation straight up grew up on it. I don't think anyone can go too deep into character analysis and the wildness of it's writing, it's more of a cultural touchstone.

Yeah plus it's just a great show

Hell yeah

DB is pure unadulterated fun. It’s simple, cheesy, and that’s why it’s memorable.

It's also incredibly well-paced, for the most part. I can sit through hours of it and not even get slightly twitchy.

Tao Pai Pai murders a dude with his tongue.

lulz when my son was younger and we would watch it when it popped on he kept bringing up the yelling they did to/when they power up, punch them hurry before they finish yelling...........

I'm glad he liked airbender more then dbz

When I watched it it seemed very poorly paced. It was a lot of teasing to a big fight for very long periods of time. Lot of filler episodes.

I'm rewatching it for the first time for a long time, I'm only up to the Frieza saga but so far it's been incredibly well-paced, even with some filler, but I think it might get less consistent by the Buu saga. Although it's been ages, I feel like the longer the show ran the more it played into its more stereotypical elements, perhaps?

DBZ kai is way better than DBZ.

Pacing on normal DBZ was horrible, shit just took too god damn long. DB wasn't as bad.
