Anything bad that happened on Reagan's watch was nothing compared to the damage Obama did to this country and Biden is fast on track to be even worse than Obama was.

Simple fact is our country was much stronger and we were feared and well respected by the world under Reagan but Obama embarrased us and made us a f***in' laughing stock, dude, because he was so god**** weak and ineffectual as a leader. That is undeniable. He was worse than Jimmy f***ing Carter lol.

No offense. but you aren't even American so you have no clue of the damage he did and the racial division he (not Trump) caused. Our country was more divided since the 60's under Obama.. He was the biggest joke to ever serve as president and he needed a good ol' fashioned ass kickin' for the damage he did and all the pathetic ass apology tours he went on. Obama doesn't even deserved to be mentioned in the same sentence as Reagan, dude (even though I just did it lol).

Thank God that motherf***er Obama is gone but looks like Biden is on track to be even worse than his ineffectual pussy a** was.

America hasn't been feared or well-respected since the Clinton days at the very least, bar a few issues with the Gulf and Bush Jr.

Probably because we don't go around kidnapping people from sovereign nations.

You know, like Israel did.

Ok, the Coke snub makes total sense now.

Christino Ronaldo was 33 in 2018. He demanded one dollar more then the other best player in the world.

That was 2018. He is now 36, and probably near the end of his career. Highly doubtful his demands will be met in full this time, if at all.

So the Coke sponsor was a nice FU to the industry he petulantly demanded royal treatment from, and got year after year.

I mean, this is all guesswork, but looking at his history he's as much of a self entitled jerk as the best of them, he is definitely the type to burn his bridges if he doesn't get his way.

We haven't seen how bad the other party is. 😂

Part of it is that he's trying to stretch his career as far as humanly possible. He's, if the reports are true, become a total health-nut, and it makes sense that he wouldn't want to touch coke.

That and he knows he has an image to maintain. An image seen by young children.

Could also be he was laying the groundwork for his retirement career. Health nut spokesperson.

If that's the case, it was a brilliant move.

The US never kidnapped non terrorists?

I mean, I agree Bill Clintons administration never should have started the practice, and every president since has been complicit in keeping it alive. But its still not remotely comparable to, say, the Dikko affair, or the whistleblower who did absolutely nothing wrong and was kidnapped out of England.

But yeah, I do admit the US isn't exactly clean.

Tell that to Shaker Aamar.

In fact, out of the 779 "terrorists" renditioned to Guantanamo Bay only 7 have ever been convicted of terrorism.

Reagan started it with Fawaz Yunis in 1987.

The hijacker? He was arrested in international waters.

Multiple sources, including Wikipedia, attributes the practice to Clinton. Whirly loves Wikipedia, and cites it often as authoritative.

Clinton was actually one of our more conservative presidents. 🙂

Check this out, from the BBC:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/blogs-echochambers-28155578.amp

The Federalist's David Harsanyi takes a look at the recent Quinnipiac poll, which asked respondents to rate the post-World War Two US presidents.

The top two vote-getters were Ronald Reagan, the patron saint of modern conservatism, and Bill Clinton - the first two-term Democratic president since Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

While Harsanyi is not surprised by Reagan's high ranking - his "conservative message changed American politics for decades", he writes - he's interested in what Mr Clinton's high ranking says about the US political climate.

Although he is a Democrat, he contends, Mr Clinton was one of the most conservative modern presidents.

"Despite bringing some big liberal ideas, earthy debauchery and all manner of corruption to the Oval Office," Harsanyi writes, Mr Clinton "presided over a thriving economy, declared the era of big government over and signed more consequential conservative legislative than any president since - and perhaps, anyone before him".

He offers a list of the 42nd president's "conservative" legislative achievements to bolster his case - the Defense of Marriage Act, welfare reform, massive trade deals like Nafta and Gatt, financial and telecommunications deregulation, and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which served as the basis for last week's Hobby Lobby Supreme Court decision.

Harsanyi contends that those who are arguing that the Republican Party has veered to the far right politically are misguided. They are, in fact, defending Mr Clinton's legacy.

"This isn't particularly constructive for the GOP, but it's certainly not as radical as you've been led to believe," he says. "We love Bill Clinton, right?"

Everyone, it seems, loves Bill Clinton these days. The question is - is some of this love misplaced?

"probably" is the single worst word to use in any kind of competitive discussion — it translates, literally, to "I haven't done any research on the statement I'm making"
