You know the Harfields and the McCoys?
I suppose I always wanted to be that guy who plays poker with the McCoys on Monday, has dinner with the Hatfields on Tuesday, and basically comes and goes as he pleases between both famlies.
But real life doesn't work that way. Everyone expects you to take a side.
I suppose it's better to be hated by everybody and keep your autonomy, then shackle yourself with someone elses values.
Capital punishment is cause-effect. An adult chooses to murder an entire family, they get removed from society so they can't kill again.
The framed person, the odd mistake, this is a smoke and mirrors argument to hide the fact Democrats really only care about criminals, because most Democrats are in fact scum.
^ In case anyone reads that fact deprived emotional diatribe:
Fact: Innocent people have been put to death due to our flawed penal system, showing this is not a "smoke and mirrors" argument, it's literally happened
Fact: There's also people who were on death row awaiting execution for decades and then were later exonerated due to new DNA evidence proving their innocence
Brexit happened, Roe vs Wade is about to be overturned, Erdogan has Turkey, Finland, and Sweden under control, Elon Musk will bring free speech to Twitter which will inevitably lead to the dismantling of Leftist beliefs who rely on silencing dissent as they know their values can not withstand scrutiny, and the left are full of temperamental children, doddering old fools, or raving lunatics.
It's a good time to be on the Right side.

Well Whirly, if Conservatism hasn't made serious gains (I think it has), far leftism has certainly weakened since the 2020 protests.
This is evidenced at least in America by a recent story about a university forming a "White Accountability Board", and the executives denouncing such an organization. Or in his Mayor of "very liberal" New York City Eric Adams intends to reinstate policing against activist threats of rioting and burning buildings if he reversed "defund the police" policies.
Like it or not the best the far left can do is keep the far right towards the middle. Most do not support socialist policy.
