😂 everything I SAID was a fact.

Tell me, How is Superman even remotely relatable? His morality is nothing like any humans. He is exempt from almost every single underlying psychological pinning that makes us who we are. Any real person who sees actual real humanity reflected through Superman is either delusional and/or has a very childish moral compass and I'ma pray for you the day reality shatters it

Batman , as absurd as his story execution has become (pis), is FAR more interesting, PERIOD. Thats not up for debate. The normal being who walks amongst gods because his will, intelligence, training and resources allow him to do so.

Superman is nothing but absurd. He's near invincible, near all powerful and actually is more hopeful and harder to daunt than Jesus himself. Nothing is interesting about a character more powerful than everyone around him, more moral, and such a great guy that he won't even rub either in your face. The idea that any being comprised of id and ego could be that powerful AND be such a Mary Sue personality is ****ing beyond absurd

Cut the nonsense out

Not that it has any particular relevance here, but I always liked Morrison's take on Superman:

Superman is so indefatigable a product of the human imagination, such a perfectly designed emblem of our highest, kindest, wisest, toughest selves, that my idea of the Bomb that could destroy all had no defense against him. In Superman, modern human beings had brought into being an idea that was invulnerable to all harm, immune to deconstruction, built to outsmart diabolical masterminds, made to confront pure evil and, somehow, against the odds, to always win.

In the realm of symbol, these, our imagined superselves, were indestructible. No god or devil could beat Superman in a fight. Ever. No heaven or hell could restrain him. Knock him down, blow him up, freeze him, lose him in time, or brainwash him.

A Vitruvian Man in a cape, Superman would attempt to distill the pure essence of pop culture's finest creation: baring the soul of an indestructible hero so strong, so noble, so clever and resourceful, he had no need to kill to make his point. There was no problem Superman could not solve or overcome. He could not lose. He would never let us down because we made him that way.

I think we often undervalue characters whose purpose is to represent ideals, rather than representing real people. It's okay for some characters not to be perfectly relatable.

Slade would make a fine Robin.
