To be fair, that has been a problem for DB for a very long time.

While we can easily argue that heroes make sure to adjust their blasts so they have a very limited area of effect... same explanation doesn't work for villains, who don't really care about the collateral damage.

Classic Roshi was a moonbuster, ffs. Sure, he needed to combine his max power form and fire a kamehameha, but still.

And the same Roshi was an ant to King Piccolo, who was an ant to Pre-Z Junior, who was an ant to Raditz... who was an ant to Nappa, who was an ant to Vegeta... and so on, and so on.

Eventually one has to come to terms with the fact that maybe they simply aren't all that powerful. Ki can be like Kryptonite to them, any solid brick could probably splatter them. And their speed feats are even more sketchy than Flash.

Who all together are ants compared to Friezas first form...

...who is an ant to his final form....

....who is an ant to Super Saiyan Trunks...

....who is an ant to first form cell...

The explanation is simple.

Condensing a blast makes it more effective than spreading it out.

In fights, villains like to win over causing wanton destruction.

Frieza survived a planet sized blast while near death because of how large and spread out it was. Yet he had a lot of trouble with simple Ki blasts from Ssj Goku.

One possible explanation.

Another, perhaps better, explanation is that Batman can kick Goku's butt. 🙂

You are chomper tier.

I do like a good game of Pac-Man.

You probably don't even remember Chomper.

He is from the time before you got lobotomized and anally raped by your sis' sadistic, horse-cocked boyfriend.

So a former legend of KMC.

Thanks for the compliment CC. 👆

The current manga arc is just awful. By far the worst major arc I”ve seen in DB history.

Toriyama essentially wrote himself into a corner ever since Battle of the Gods.

There's only so many way you can keep throwing in new super threats while keeping the status quo without it getting ridiculous. And they passed that point during the Moro arc.

I mean, they just made a hard line of "Strongest EVER... except Beerus."

Where else can you go? Into other universes, ala "We never said ALL universes", and just keep churning out a new ultra threat from each universe?

X, you know Hajime No Ippo, right?

Morikawa hit the same problem when Ippo got to the world level. He didn't want a showdown with Martinez yet, win or lose, and he had nowhere else to go. So he had Ippo retire.

Really, that's what Toriyama needs to SERIOUSLY consider. Goku steps down, or maybe gets forcibly depowered. Or heck, let him defeat Beerus and take his place as a new God of Destruction, opting out of all direct intervention in mortal affairs, and trains Uub or someone. The story becomes about the new hero filling Goku's shoes.

Vegeta vs Doctor Solar: Man of the Atom.

Why is that?

How far have you read?

All of it.

That's one of the reasons why I said a retcon is more likely. Jiren was never really stronger than Belmond... Just like it never really required 70% of Beerus' power to defeat n00b-SSG Goku... Or just like RoF-era SSB Goku/Vegeta could have never really teamed-up and beat Beerus, like Whis implied. etc.

...Unless Belmond is just THAT far below Beerus, for some strange reason.

In that case the scaling would look something like:
Beerus > Granolah > current MUI Goku ~ Angel-Moro > Moro-73 > current SSB Vegeta(pre-Beerus training) > Broly ~/> n00b-MUI Goku(ToP) > Jiren > Belmond.

But I doubt the intent here is to diminish the power of every Destroyer aside from Beerus, given that Beerus said "US Gods of Destruction"(plural) when he first mentioned this super-secret Destroyer technique, which evidently rivals the Angels' UI:

That said, I would assume the current intent is for ALL Destroyers to be around Beerus-level, which would subsequently mean that ALL of them(inc. Belmond) could ragdoll Jiren endlessly.

Jiren was beat down by a n00b-MUI Goku, whose power/stamina was massively diminished before he ever even transformed.

Do you honestly think Granolah would struggle at all with that same, depleted, n00b-MUI Goku, given that he is, by all accounts, superior to a vastly more powerful iteration of MUI Goku..?

Precision bests speed and power that's why

Generally speaking, precision is worthless if you lack the power to hurt your opponent.

It's why stronger characters can no-sell attacks from weaker characters all day long.

It sounds to me as if you're struggling to deal with the fact that one dimensional entities tend to fail to earn the W
