Why do we assume Beerus hasn't gotten stronger too?

Because he's anime Garfield.

All he does is eat and sleep. 🙂

It was stated in the anime and manga, by Whis. That a warrior existed who a God of Destruction can not defeat.

He never said the God of Destruction was defeated.

Where in my statement did I say a God WAS defeated?

Well, Goku hasn't surpassed Beerus just yet. He was looking on, and pretty sure his reaction would be different if Goku was actually stronger then him.

...Yes he did. Theres also how ALL of the non-erased Hakaishins besides Belmod stood up in respect of Goku, along with Beerus. Hell, in the anime version, Jiren was so ridiculous that his aura alone could crush Belmod, a peer of Beerus, and then we all saw what UI Goku did to him.

You said Jiren is stronger then Beerus.

a heavily suppressed Beerus can't even be compared with Jiren. That's an unfair comparison. Naturally, Beerus' real full power is incomparably beyond that SSJG Goku such that he could tank all of his hits without moving, as Jiren did to ToP SSJ and SSJ2 Goku. 😂

1. Not everyone have the same taste. I like Dragon Ball, but can’t stand Super. And just because something gets canceled or a short lived series, doesn’t mean jack shit.

While it's true that tastes varies, there's still instances of artistic quality and a lack thereof. And while good series can be cancelled, it's seldom the case. What usually ends up happening―and this was the case with Bastard!!―is that it wasn't well received, and that's likely because it's terribly written.

2. Yes Tenchi has incest theme, doesn’t mean it’s not a great series. And my point still stands on the power structure with Tenchi. Hell, Tenchi is a far better written series than most of Dragonball/Super as a whole.

Tenchi Muyo! is pure garbage, and that's especially true for the last season, which even the fans (all three of them) concedes to. The main issue with Tenchi Muyo! is that it's basically an anime version the Bachelor where half of the women are kids and the other half are related to the main characters.

3. You do know, just because you like Dragon ball style series, doesn’t mean you can’t like something completely different right?

That's true. But there are certain series that are better than others and that appeals to a larger audience. Death Note, Steins;Gate, Cowboy Bebop, Parasyte, GTO, Attack on Titan, Tower of God, etc. are all excellent shows that are of different genres. And even if you're not into detective stories you're still more likely than not to appreciate Death Note, whether it's the manga, or anime sub or dub.

There are anime that I watch and enjoy that I wouldn't recommend to just anyone, because I understand that it's catering to a niche audience, examples would include Kill la Kill and Claymore.

That said, if you're going to recommend a show for people who enjoy Dragon Ball there are safer bets, Baki the Grappler, God of High School, One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, etc.

Who in DC or Marvel could Whis choose to become a G.O.D? Fill Beerus shoes?

There is a world where even a God of destruction can't defeat and that appears to be true. Im mentioning this to Galan because we've been discussing this for a while now. Whis said this before Jiren unleashed his true power against MUI Goku. Jiren is stronger than Beerus...

YouTube video

Okay?

I have no problem with FP Jiren having GoD-tier power.

But as I've said SO many times before: if we use the manga as a reference, then there is a pretty massive difference in power between all the Destroyers... And Beerus is solidly at the top of the totem pole.

-Beerus is confident enough with his abilities that he outright said that he could beat ALL the other Destroyers at the same time:
https://ibb.co/RCm8qtv

-Beerus is literally shown outfighting ALL of the other Destroyers simultaneously for a time, thanks to his approximation of UI:
https://ibb.co/cLLc19R
https://ibb.co/Xs8ZRCP
https://ibb.co/L0xc5Gr
https://ibb.co/KGChmTb
https://ibb.co/0QZRTJp
https://ibb.co/ZTYfPpP

-If it hadn't been for Sidra manifesting a force-field at the last second, the implication is that a SINGLE energy blast from Beerus would have killed(or at the very least incapacitated) FIVE different Destroyers:
https://ibb.co/mcFfqLP
https://ibb.co/5KHVZKD
"Sidra... You SAVED US ALL!"

-At the end of the battle, Quitela isn't the least bit surprised that Beerus is the last one standing(implying that Beerus' superiority is well known amongst Destroyers):
https://ibb.co/BTqcGRL

-Beerus states that FPSSB Vegeta might be a good candidate for the GoD "in ANOTHER universe.":
https://ibb.co/mCRhWcp
...And that was just after Beerus had casually one-arm ragdolled Vegeta. So even though the difference between Beerus and Vegeta was THAT massive, Beerus still believed he'd be GoD-material in one of the other universes(again indicating a HUGE difference in power between Beerus and some of the other Destroyers.)

-You also have 4-5 pieces of promotional material + statements from the Director + quotes from the lite novel, which all state that Broly was the most powerful being that Goku/Vegeta had ever faced up to that point -- which scales him above Jiren by default. This is important because at the end of the movie, Goku still used BEERUS(not Jiren) as a measuring stick for Broly's power, even though Jiren was specifically shown at the beginning of the movie. To me, this indicates that even after the ToP, Goku still views Beerus as the strongest.

tl;dr
What I'm saying is: Jiren can still have GoD-tier power, without being on par with Beerus. It's like the comic book tiers- there are several characters in the high herald tier, for example, but that doesn't mean all of them are equal to Surfer.

Personally, I don't think Jiren is actually above Beerus anymore than I believe that Beerus was using high-end percentages of his power against n00b-SSG Goku during BoG. As mentioned: Toriyama has Beerus on a ridiculous sliding scale, where he seems to just become more and more powerful with each arc, with literally no explanation given.

...Not that I expect you to agree with anything I just said, nor do I care to continue beyond this. Jiren wank sickens me. 👆

Huh, always seemed popular on vs forums.

Along with Slayers, another series I couldn't get into.

They were popular because Tenchi Muyo! and Slayers aired as dubbed cartoons on Toonami, so people knew of them. I think the six episode dub of Bastard!! also ran on Toonami, but I don't think it popularized it.

But they have died down. In part because they're visually dated and difficult to get into, but also because there are better fantasy alternatives with all the Isekai stories coming out of Japan, and while most of them are trash some are fairly decent. Overly Cautious Hero, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, The Rising of the Shield Hero, and some people like Re:Zero, Overlord and Sword Art Online, and while they start out good they take a nose dive in terms of quality.

Umineko is actually good
