To me, this indicates that even after the ToP, Goku still views Beerus as the strongest.

What I'm saying is: Jiren can still have GoD-tier power, without being on par with Beerus. It's like the comic book tiers- there are several characters in the high herald tier, for example, but that doesn't mean all of them are equal to Surfer.

Personally, I don't think Jiren is actually above Beerus anymore than I believe that Beerus was using high-end percentages of his power against n00b-SSG Goku during BoG. As mentioned: Toriyama has Beerus on a ridiculous sliding scale, where he seems to just become more and more powerful with each arc, with literally no explanation given.

But that doesn't seem to be implied in the manga with how casually Beerus refers to the lot 🤷‍♂️

I stand by Gogeta being able to kick his ass though, regardless.

But as I mentioned: so was Beerus... And considerably so, given that Belmond was obviously one of the Destroyers who Beerus was initially out-fighting, and also among the handful of Destroyers that Beerus nearly took out with a single blast.

My scaling as of the Broly movie is:
SSB Gogeta > FPSS Broly ~/> Beerus > MUI Goku(ToP) > Jiren.

Wank aside, I'm not even confident that current UI Goku could beat SSB Gogeta at this point. Tbh, I think that Goku is just now starting to crest into Beerus' realm of power... Especially since, like you said, Beerus isn't exactly awestruck by any of them. Granted, Beerus has shown some respect for UI Goku's "godlike" fighting technique, but he [Beerus] isn't exactly quaking in his boots over the power on display thus far.

Vegeta was indeed said to be GoD candidate tier.

Of course, so was Toppo, who we know Vegeta surpassed in the ToP.

Since then he's gotten even stronger in the Moro arc.

The thing I'm wondering about; is if Vegeta can actually beat a weaker GoD. Or more specifically, can beat Belmond.
