I know you did, and I pointed how absurd it would be for Vader not to want to know who tf they had in there that got Kenobi to come out of hiding.

And I didnt disagree that its lazy story telling.

But you cant just keep saying its a canon error when we dont know who exactly knows about Leia being kidnapped to draw out Kenobi.

I think the GI knew in the second episode, which would be weird him keeping that to himself.

And it explains Leia's message. "General Kenobi. Years ago you served my father in the Clone Wars. Also, there was that time you saved me from kidnappers and busted me out of the Imperial Inquisitor facility and fought Darth Vader..."

Lore is hard for writers these days, because respecting lore means you have to know the source material. And that's for interns.

And you call yourself a SW fan...

Oh hey, speaking of moral ambiguity in Star Wars, it's Revan.

I wonder if in the reboot they'll cock that up too.

Also, there's only one character in this show I like and want to know more about. And it's ****ing Teeka.

To be fair, there was nothing morally ambiguous about Revan in the first game. TSL is the one that introduced that idea.

Lazy writing or canon error, at the end of the day the result is the same - a shitty, pointless story.

Really enjoyed this episode. Vader was awesome, and it was nice seeing Obi/Anakin in the flashback. Also, I think this episode explains pretty well what Vader meant in Ep 4 with the whole “Now I am the master” statement

This episode was somewhat better. Vader got some good Force feats and it was nice seeing Hayden and Ewan together again. And at least they addressed the GI's death.

Fantastic episode.

Btw don't you think it was a bit "dark" of Kenobi to use Reva to escape? She basically left her to die so he could run away. When he told her they were going to defeat Vader together I expected him to come out of a corner and help her, instead he left Reva there knowing her chances to defeat Vader were minimal at best

This was the best episode so far, but it was still mediocre at best.

The choreography was once again laughable and why they hell is there so much shaky cam? The writing continues to be poor. Hopefully Vader and the GI have some sorta plan for why they didn't finish her off since the GI survived the same injury two episodes ago and the way he almost gave her a peptalk... But, well, people were crafting theories about Vader letting Kenobi go as well and we all saw how that went.

Yeah, even if his survival was a bit of an ass-pull.

Shaky cam is pretty awful in this, even in static shots where the camera guy need not even move.

Revan getting mindwiped into being a Jedi again in the first game was pretty morally ambiguous, even if you could argue for the greater good. The Jedi had, up until this point, always been about the moral highground. Brainwashing an enemy - removing his free will against his will - and sending him to fight his former allies is pretty grey stuff. Practical, but hardly moral.

But then again I suppose you could argue the Order does some pretty dumb stuff, like rapidly accepting Clone armies into their fold, fighting on behalf of the Republic instead of for their own ideology, and teaching kids how to use murder glow sticks.

Yeah, this was far and away the best episode.

The flashback of Kenobi and Anakin was great.
Vader casually catching the ship and ripping apart its hull was awesome.
Vader vs. Reva was one of the most effortless one-sided stomps I've ever seen in SW.

Good as the episode was, I fear it is still too little, too late.

I get the feeling Quan would not be thrilled with this episode. Also nice to see that ***** Reva put in her place.

Agreed. Also, the story still feels entirely pointless.

I guess anyone can survive getting stabbed by a lightsaber these days. Reva's not dead either.

Sure, the Jedi Council are definitely no saints, but they did also save him. Bastila could have just let him die on the ship.

This series is shit, It’s barely even a Kenobi’s story.

Well.

Spoiler:
Obi-Wan outright stomped Vader. Also, letting Vader live and walking away again is completely retarded.
. I didn't see that coming.

Spoiler:
Just shows once again that Kenobi is damn near unbeatable when he's fighting for those kids. He also racked up what are easily his best Force/TK feats in canon... But yeah, the decision to allow Vader to live (again) was ridiculous, even though it *had* to happen. Like, you know he's obviously going to continue slaying innocents and become more powerful, but I digress. Unfortunately that wasn't the dumbest part of this show by a longshot.

Anyway, it does put Vader's learner/master line from ANH into more perspective, I guess? /shrug

I will say that seeing the ghost of Qui-Gon was chill-inducing, brief as it was. That's one thing I was hoping to get from the start. 👆

All in all this series was a miss -- had a few cool moments, but that's about it. Could have been so much better if someone like Favreau or even Filoni had headed it up, but here we are.

Let the power level talk begin

Absolute trash. The writing is abysmal. Reva just teleports to Tatooine I guess? Vader decides to go after Kenobi alone, but instead of having teh SD pursue the others just leaves it in orbit doing nothing. And they are so creatively bankrupt, the best scene in the series was just them stealing shit from Rebels.

The fight itself was kinda cool (if absurd) I guess. But that's about all I can say that was good about the episode and the series as a whole.

Yeah good point . I don’t get it how Obi becomes so fluent or gets like an upgrade in his saber skills so quickly when he hasn’t used it in ages .. how the hell did he beat Vader so easily ? It’s like he made Vader look like an amateur..

Good they showed sidious in it and qui gon

IIRC, in the leaks from the original scrips, Obi-Wan was going to connect with Qui-Gon during the second battle, which would allow him to achieve some kind of oneness state and defeat/escape Vader. Obviously that was scrapped and Qui-Gon's cameo is completely pointless now, and Obi-Wan steamrolled Vader on his own. It makes me wonder why they even needed the Skywalker children, when Obi-Wan can obviously beat Vader on his own. I can't wait for the Yoda tv show, where Yoda defeats Sidious but spares him cause he feels sorry for him or some shit.

Same with Reva, she was supposed to find out that Luke was Anakin's son and go after him to get back at Vader. In the current version, she went after some random kid to avenge the younglings slain by Anakin.

Such things happen when retards are doing the show.
