TN Ex-Deputy Charged with Assault on Capitol Cops
A 27-year-old man arrested in Nashville this week in connection to the January insurrection at the U.S. Capitol is a former Williamson County deputy. An arrest warrant shows Ronald Colton McAbee was taken into custody on August 17th.
He faces the following charges: assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers inflicting bodily injury and aiding and abetting, civil disorder, entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon, act of physical violence in the Capitol grounds or buildings.

Infowars host Owen Shroyer is facing criminal charges in connection with the January 6th riots at the U.S. Capitol. In a new complaint filed on Friday, the US attorney's office in Washington charged Shroyer with illegally going into a restricted area on the Capitol grounds and disorderly conduct. He is one of the highest profile right-wing media personalities to be prosecuted in connection with the insurrection so far.
Shroyer previously had faced criminal charges for disrupting a congressional hearing in December 2019. He entered into a deferred prosecution agreement, which would result in the charges being dropped if he fulfilled certain conditions; those conditions included avoiding further arrest and completing 32 hours of community service. Prosecutors noted in his latest charging papers that as of January 6th, he had not finished his community service hours, which meant his earlier case remained unresolved.

The majority of the mob wasn't organized; that was evidently clear in videos while they're attacking like deranged lunatics.
There were organizers though, the leaders of certain Rightist groups. There's also evidence that certain politicians were helping or had helped organizers with information.
They've only arrested 570 though, so who knows what they'll turn up considering there should be thousands being arrested.

Will add that it's sad that the vast majority of the domestic terrorist on Jan 6th will likely get away. Lots were covering their faces and were smart enough to not bring their cell phones and some simply escaped being caught clearly enough to to identified on cam by luck.
Not ripping on the FBI for only identifying the 570-odd, but in an ideal world the thousands that attacked either outside and/or inside would get caught.

Preserving communications records is the first step in an investigatory process that could eventually lead to witness testimony. The notices are set to go out as soon as this week and provide the first window into the kinds of information the committee plans to pursue.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Representative Jim Jordan both spoke to Donald Trump over the phone the day of the attack.
And Representatives Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs had meetings and discussions with people who have claimed credit for instigating the events of January 6th.
Representatives Mikie Sherrill and Sean Patrick Maloney also saw Republican members of Congress giving reconnaissance tours of the U.S. Capitol the day before the riot.
